The sunlight hazed slightly as midday passed, though it was hours until nightfall. A soft wind gently swayed the green grass, and rustled the leaves on the trees. The scarce clouds in the sky had begun to tint peach in the most pleasant of manners. Raeburn couldn't have been more at ease.

The elongated wyrm laxly swung himself in a serpentine motion. The lush field of green grass surrounding the shallow lake was itself surrounded by forest, and was not visible from the nearby city. If one were to follow the thin winding stream that emerged from on end of the lake and continued through the trees you would find said city and then eventually to the ocean. From the other you would be lead into the cold, icy mountains from which the stream and lake were born. The forest was not exactly dense, but it was large enough to provide cover for a creature such as himself.

Raeburn felt the sails on his neck (he had been upsidedown) catch on the soft silt of the shallows. Content to lie back and sun, he was alone with his thoughts. Thoughts consisting of 'I wonder where Melay is...' 'I sure hope Zephyros doesn't show up and ruin the scenery.' and 'Did I leave the oven on?' Okay, not that last one, but you get the picture.

Forest green eyes flashed cunningly as the sunlight caught them through the shifting leaves. A small warm breeze picked up, making Etain's flames flicker and cast moving rays of light upon the plant life that were near her. Her body was of a golden and orange color which was accented by the silver adornings that had been put upon her by Tashe, the human she was bonded with. But at the moment her bonded was at the small town which lay only half a mile away. Taking a step forward, Etain thrust her nose into the sky, she had caught the scent of another wyrm.

Raeburn was unaware of the Fire Wyrm apporaching from beneath the trees. He did not make any move into enter the darker waters of the lake. The ultramarine scutes of his belly remained exposed while his white limbs drifted by his sides. His nose was barely kept above the water and was filled with the scent of it. It was no wonder he didn't smell the female.

Sea green eyes looked around casually, grass-like markings on his browned scales made it easy to be undiscovered in a patch of tall grass. If only it weren't for the sun-yellow flames licking up at the sky from his spine. Jaro moved his form towards the forest, taking a rather slow movement to get there. For some reason, the Earth/Fire hybrid seemed to not care about cover.

Moving silently betixt the trees, Etain's powerful paws lead her forwards, although her eyes where not looking before her but in the direction of the stream. At the moment she was quite content about staying her distance from the other wyrm, expecailly since she had foud it to be a male. Even though Etain had no wings, she was as agile upon her feet as a fish in the water or a bird in the sky. Every now and then she was able to catch a glimps of the wyrm hidden in the water. Although as the breeze shifted, Etain was able to catch the scent of yet another wyrm, and by the scent she was able to disturn it was also male.

It was then that Raeburn lifted his head from the surface of the water and received quite a shock to see the grass on fire. Shortly after, he realized it was not the grass that was on fire, but the back of a predominately brown and green Wyrm. Unsure whether to be annoyed by the presence of another or ashamed that he had not noticed sooner, the large male Water Wyrm carefully but skillfully returned to safety of the lake, flipped himself upright, and swam more towards the center of the lake. While he was doing this, he caught a glimpse of another Fire Wyrm in the trees. 'As soon as I find a nice place to relax, they start coming out of the woodwork.' He thought sardonically.
