They're not exactly progressive metal, but they are progressive and were hugely influential on the genre. Discuss all things Rush related here.

Rush are amazing. By far one of my favorite Progressive Rock bands, in a list that includes YES and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Their album 2112 is truly a masterpiece, and it can very well be said that Neil Peart is the greatest drummer in existance.

My personal favorite was Hemispheres. Anyone ever listened to that?

I own it 3nodding

So the Maples formed a Union
and demanded equal rights
'The Oaks are just too greedy
We will make them give us light'
Now there's no more Oak oppression
For they passed a noble law
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet
Axe
and Saw...

Any band that can sing all about trees is win in my book xd

Rush is such a multifascetic band, definately my most favourite Prog Rock trio...

There are good songs to get out of every album this band has ever put up.. since "Rush" at the early 70's up to their latest "Vapor Trails"; I love how the music never stays the same... and they serve well to outshine those who excuse the lame quality of their music for "just being a trio", or something like that.

To my liking, one of the best bands ever, along with The Who and others

Has anyone seen RUSH IN RIO? I've bought that Double DVD for less than it was originally worthed and after seeing it, I would've gladly pay double what it's worthed.
