ok... so I saw no threads like this here and I had one of those moments last night.
I had gotten up from my computer to go take a shower and left the window with this gravi fic I was reading up. When I got back my mom was reading the fic (Come What May, a really good fic that's part of a really long series) and she had read about 3/4 a page before I shoed her out. I was really lucky because it was being told in 1st person by Shu, so I dont think she knew it was 2 guys, and the fact that she didn't get to the smut that was like 4 pages later....
so, any oter stories ppl have to tell?

I remember when I got the first dvd of Gravitation and I was watching it on our downstairs entertainment center since my parents weren't home. I got to the end of the first episode when my parents came through the door, so I stopped it right before the kissing scene so they wouldn't see it. But somehow the dvd player malfunctioned and started playing again right as my mom came downstairs. She looked at the tv, looked to me and said, "Your watching hot guys making out without me?" I was so surprised she didn't freak out. Heh, she actually is now a big Gravitation fan and I'm getting her into other shounen-ai and yaoi's too.

mine either, but I think they are slowly figuring it out. almost all my frends like yaoi so it doesn't really matter.

Well there was this one time when I was sick and stuck at bed. I was watching gravitation when my mom came in and decided to watch. Luckily, it was only episode eight where Ryuichi was singing Sleepless Beauty and not a yaoi scene, or else I would have been banned from anime. ^_^;

Shuichi_Shindou_19 My family doesn't know about my yaoi obsession but I have scarred a few friends with it ^^;; Same here!! my mum once saw sum yaoi i had downloaded ( i still dont no wot it was, cos ive downloaded *lots* of yaoi) but it couldnt have been that bad, cos she just said 2 meh 'i dont like ya doin it cos i wanna b a childminder n i cant have dat stuff on ma computer yadda yadda...' so now i've stopped downloading (i just look sweatdrop ), but as soon as i get da internet on ma computer THERE'LL B NO STOPPIN MEH!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...

I've tried to be carefull about the anime/manga I let my parents know I read, but my mum came up behind me when I was reading Gravi. Luckily, I had just turned the page, so she didn't see the YukixShuichi picture. sweatdrop I can't even imagine what my parents would do if they saw half the stuff I read/watch.

I mom asked me what i was reading the one time (happened to t be Gravitation), so i told her the very basic (family version) of the plot. She just kinda looked at me asked if it was any good then let it drop. But i have since learned if i don't want her to ask just drown her in info she will not understand about a few Shojo manga's and a couple random animes and the questions about what i am watching/reading stop (her way of trying to get me to change the subject). Though the basic rule in my house about Yaoi/shonen-ai is keep it in your room.

I had i friend of mine (just to make clear he is a guy and straight) who came over and was helping me with my computer (very bad with computers sweatdrop ) well he unfortunatly found some of my Yaoi pics when he was looking at some Bleach photos i have (awsome series). He turned to me a was like you ruined my whole view of Bleach (half joking) while quickly closing the photo screen.
He doen't really care that i'm in to Yaoi but he does often ask me to look up some Yaoi for his sister( he refuses to).
Other than that my friends who know I like Yaoi/Shonen-ai are either into it or just except it and leave the subject alone.

Well, I recently ordered the entire series about a month or two ago. I was so excited when I got it so I popped the first DVD in my laptop and started watching. My mom comes in and she starts watching it with me. She asks me if that's what I had been expecting for a while and I told her "yes." She actually enjoyed the first episode, most of it.
I was getting nervous because of the kiss scene at the end; if she saw, I was afraid of her reaction. She was all like, "the animation is beautiful" and "the music is great" and then the kiss scene came... she just stared and asked me if Shuichi was a girl or a guy. lolz I didn't really answer her. But she doesn't really mind the series. In fact, she totally loves Yuki! xd

this isn't really my story, it's my girlfriends. Her and I RP as yuki and shuichi from gravitation all the time and we call each other that. One night she was texting me and was watching the OVA. He mom walked in at Shuichi's dream. (where yuki's in the thong with the whip...sorryif I just ruined that part!!) Her mom asked which one of us (me and my GF) was who. "So caitlyn is shuichi and you are yuki..." "Yeah" Her mom told her Yuki was very good looking. Needless to say, after her mom walked out, she freaked out and shut off the TV

hahaha some of these are really funny!
anyways back to the point. once i had printed out this gravitation fanfic, it had a lemon in it and all, and accidentally left one of the pages at my moms house. the next day she called me and told me sha had read it. uugh not to embarassing or funny or anything but she still to this day bothers me about my yaoi obsession. BUT I CANT HELP MYSELF I LOVE YAOI!
if my dad found out about the yaoi id be dead. but i leave it out in my room and he doesnt look at it so i trust him. for the most part at least....
