While I was in the ED current condition thread I read one post from the "lust is a hard...." Well you know the rest if you think about it. Well one thing he said was that 4channers in an anonymous person, well that didn't stick me as odd the thing he said next was, he said that this person gets mad when he's accused of spamming places he hasn't, this seems almost funny to me I mean one of the reasons I think it so that your recognized and you get publicity for it thou, I mean robbers do this, and imitation the best form of flattery right. Well then why would you get mad at this.

1. What do you think gos threw these kids minds?
2. Do you really think they are kids?
3. In a similar instance do you think you would act the same way?

I've always believed spammers are either bored, or resent intelligence. I mean, look at the way they talk and type. They have to be either very unintelligent or children. In either case it would be understandable if they were intimidated by intelligent people. They come to ED expecting it to be like GD, but instead they find serious, in depth discussion, so they try to drive those who they perceive to be a threat away through trolling and spamming. Its basic animalistic instinct. Look at "lust is a...", its obvious he was intimidated by many of us and the way we spoke to him. He indicated himself that he resented the fact that we could talk in peace here, so he wanted to disrupt that peace. Then, he could say that 4channers come to spam us because we know they spam us with relative sureity we would believe him. Just an idea...

These kids or people, to make it correct since we our not sure, seem to display the same thing. They want to be heard, so they post porn or any other spam to get response from people. The more you post on the thread, the more likely they will do it again. Not everyone will listen to you when you say don't post, so they keep on coming. This is anyone's guess really. I bet some our kids, I'm not sure what percentage our. Some I know our religious groups; while others our hate groups; though they still could be kids. If IU felt the same way, I wouldn’t be posting, since that is unlike me. Some that our on Gaia for sure feel upset and the only way can take their feels is out on the web, which is a bad idea. Nothing more stupid than posting death threats to people.

Similar to me in some aspects, but I'm not the religious hypocrit. I do act different on here, I guess it's a way to be different here than what you are in real life.

Don’t really hang out on those topics, since the noobs love them; that all you really do is bash them; may sound fun. But in the end nothing is added to the post in a positive way.

As my friend stated to me, "One of these days I'm going to invent a way to stab people through the internet." crazy in thought, yes it serves a point in speaking. I wish they would IP ban them. Then again the World Wide Web itself is going down hill, it's not just Gaia.

What's the personality that you noticed of these 4chan people? I never heard of it, since a couple of weeks ago.

*Whistles a bit* everything from selectively stupid to just young to wanting attention ... The truth is a bit different though.

While some spammers probably ARE idiots or 5th graders - I think a large majority of them are just people who don't care. It's not that they don't care because their stupid - It's just they’re new on the Internet and don't quite understand "The Rules" of the net (and because of this think txt tlk and l337 ... as well as overused names of their favorite game/anime character)

A example of this would be one of my friends who in real life is a pretty cool guy ... however online he is a complete troll who tlks lik tis 4 evah.
Of course when I try to explain that this sort of thing is looked down upon he simply says "The Internet Is Serious Business."

So just going back to the point I was trying to make. It's not per-say that they’re stupid or attention grabbing ... but they just don't care and we suffer because of it.
