Shadow walked around the edge of yet another fallen city. "Is anything at all left of this world?" she screamed to the air. In her mind she could hear the demonic laughter from her eternal foe. "Oneday I Will destroy you," She muttered as she trudged on.
Finally she collapsed into the shadow of a crumblign wall. It was all that remained from the giant castle that once stood. She laid there until dawn. "I've had enough of traveling alone." She said. over the past thousand years she had been talking to herself, since no one else was around.

Shadow stood up and walked a ways from the wall. With her foot she drew a circle in the sand, with her inside. She then proceeded to draw a pentagram within the circle. With that complete she walked to the center of the star and raised her arms to the air. "Ische Mikan Si Lamen" She yelled to the sky, then she kneeled down and stuck her hands deep in the sand and whispered the same incantation again, "Ische Mikan Si Lamen". She quested forth from her physical body and down through the sand untill she reached the bones of a long dead human.
The desert sand around her began to shift as it moved the bones towards the surface. When the bones broke through the sand they arranged themselves in a human shape. Shadow turned her concentration on them and began to create flesh and muscles to attach the bones. Finally when she was done, a man in his late 20's lay on the sand at her feet.
"Sezuan, Rise" She said quietly to the body.

Sezuan felt the strength behind the voice that called him back to a human body, back into existence, and couldn't resist the magical pull. Slowly he came to lying on the ground at a womans feet. "I guess you're the one who called me back here. Who are you to command such power?"

She looked down at the man and smiled, "I'm Shadow." She held out a hand to help him to his feet. "Welcome back to earth, or as I like to call it, Planet Hell. How do you feel?"

Sezuan slowly sat up and was instantly hit with a dizzy spell and a major headache. Carefully he looked around while trying not to fall over. "Wow earth still exists?" but then he noticed that there was absolutely nothing around except a vast empty desert. When his head had stopped spinning he grabbed Shadow's hand and stood up. "I could really use a drink of water if you have some, and perhaps a bit of food." he added remembering that he hadn't tasted anything in centuries.

"Yes of course you may have a drink and something to eat." She smiled at him and gestered towards the nearby fallen city. "I'll help you walk back to there, and then I will set up some food and drink in one of the houses." Shadow lead him across the short distance to the city. A little further into the city they came upon a house in relitively decent shape. "How does this look to you?"

Sezuan barely had a chance to glance around before he collapsed from exhaustion. "Looks good to me," he responded as he sat holding his head up. He was struck by another wave of his headache. "Could we stay here for a night or two so that I can regain the proper use of my body? And could I also have a drink now?" he smiled at her. "It must of been lonely traveling by yourself for so long."

Shadow had been looking around the runed house lost in memories and thoughts. She barely caught what had been said to her. 'This company is going to take some gettign used to,' she thought to herself. "Oh yes," She gestered to the table. A bottle of water and a couple sandwiches appeared before him. "That should do for now," She turned around and sat facing the wall. She was sorting through past memories of this place. Something hinted at the edge of her mind but kept eluding her. Giving up for the time being she turned around and faced Sezuan again. "Do you remember anything from your past? Anything about this area?"

As soon as the food appeared infront of Sezuan he started eating. While eating his mind began to clear. It took him a moment to realize that Shadow was talking to him again, and it took him another moment to realize he was stareing at her.
"I don't seem to remember much, But I think I used to live somewhere around here. You also seem a bit familliar, but that would be impossible."
Suddenly he remembered the very last thing he had seen before he had died and the events leading up to it. He told Shadow the story of his final breath.

Back when Sezuan had originally been alive he had fallen in love with a beautiful girl. Sarah had been her name. She had seemed to be part of the earth itself, and also part of the light of day. They had been planning to go through the union rituals when disaster had struck. Sarah dissapeared into the night and was only seen once after. On the night they would of been wed Sezuan seen her floating above the lake. She looked her beautiful self but as he watched he began to understand that she was battleing something, and losing. He cried out to her through the still night air. When she turned to look at him her opponent dove at her and she had lost. Darkness slammed in waves out from where they had been. It destroyed everything and killed everyone. That was the last thing that Sezuan remembered.
