I've had some iffy experiences with anime in my time. There's entirely too many fangirls where I come from- one day you've watched an episode of Fullmetal Alchemist, next day six people are interrogating you as to which of the seven deadly sin things you find the coolest, when you haven't even met these characters yet- all you've seen is the first episode. Being harassed constantly and having bits revealed ahead of time ruined an otherwise excellent show for me. It happened with other shows too, and it's sort of left me in avoidance of such things.
