We are wanting to start a student-run winterguard at my school (since no one else is willing to do it). Only problem is we have no idea what to do...Like rules & regs or where to perform...Winter Guard isn't very popular here. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I don't know anything about organizing a winterguard.... I wish I could help. I do know that many circuits (WGI, for one) have already finished accepting.... registrations, I guess is what you call it. I wish you luck!

You cannot compete as a student-run winterguard. You must have instructors that the school has approved, and I'm sure you have a bit of paperwork you have to have as well.
Adults are key. Students cannot chaparone themselves, train themselves, or be at practice with themselves. It's just not with school code and all that jazz. So look for someone who is willing to help you guys out, even as the adult body there. Go talk to your school-administration, too, and see what you need to do to be official.
Good luck.

We can get a chaperone, no problem. But it would most likely be run by us. The teacher would just be there to make sure nobody dies or anything.
