While playing with my secondary character on Extra Mode, in a sick and drowsy state, I tried to save, and just clicked x twice.
...
thats when it realized I was saving my secondary character over my MAIN CHARACTER'S SAVE SPOT.
gonk
*QUICKLY, I ripped out the PS2 memory card and prayed everything would be back to normal, while hitting the reset.*
When I booted it up and viewed my Extra Saves..
...
I had 2 secondary character spots, emo
Now I've decided to re-start my main character over again and try it again..but
That Really..REALLY sucks )';
especially since I was 5k away from buying a Black Heart on my main.

I always knew that would happen to me eventually because the cursor resets its place everytime you go to save, always moving to the TOP, rather then where it was saved last.. *sigh*
...
Anyone else have some random horror stories like this?

xd Oh, man... That sucks. I remember doing that with a different game though. Maybe you should of just let it save instead of pulling out the memory card. Atleast you would still have your other character? question

Oh man, that really sucks. I've done that before with other games. You would think that I would have learned to be more careful by now.

Stuff like that has happened to me SO many times. gonk

I have a friend that lost at least 4 main characters to
corrupted memory data in PSO. 2 of them were all at least in the 80's to 90's. 1 one in the 60's and another in the hundreds.

I've never done that to myself, but my stupid room mate saved over my character data tons of times in various different games....needless to say that after the fourth or fifth time, she wasn't allowed to use my xbox anymore stare

I feel your pain. It happened to me on Star Ocean till the end of time. All my level 157 characters and over 300 hours of gameplay gone. It still my favorite game in the world but I think its gonna take some time for me play it again. And Its been at least half a year... crying
