Ratchet & Clank is a fun game, just... Straight up! It is considered an action platformer, and is freaking sweet! If you have any questions about the game, PM me.

Gameplay: Yes, well, I'm not sure if this was a launch title for the PS2, but I do know that it at least came out soon after. The gameplay is simple and sweet. Throughout the game you get various weapons and gadgets. The weapons are pretty stunning, especially the infamous R.Y.N.O. (Ryhno, rip ya a new one). They all vary from huge missile launchers to flamthrowers to blaster guns. The character movement is nice and easy looking. Simply put this game is a fun/great platformer.
You go from planet to planet doing various unsaid missions and the bosses seem very fun. You will come across many different moving things such as platforms, walls, etc. to keep to the platforming experience. There are also certain levels (planets) where you can play things such as hoverboard races, turret challenges, and a few space battles. You can also upgrade your buddy clank with special things like a heli-pack and jet-pack. This all may seem a little too simple, but it's not, it provides a good challenge while still makes you happy. 10/10!

Music: Ah... Well, the music in this game isn't anything special, I mean at first it seems pretty kool, but in the end it just blends in with the scenery. 7/10!

Graphics/Visuals: For its release date, great. Animations on characters are very nice, and the cutscenes are a very nice treat at the beginning and end of each planets various missions. 9/10!

Other Attributes: Well, let me see... Oh yeah, this series is known for its awesome unlockables. You can unlock such things as upgraded versions of previous owned weapons, commercials (funny ones) for the games, and many more... 9/10!

Story: The story is pretty simple, yet most entertaining for this game. You, Ratchet, a Lombax, live on a backwater planet where you are trying to fix up a ship. At the same time there is a robot factory at the other sideof the galaxt where a malfunction has happened and the big bad robot that was being made has turned into a small friendly little robot who escapes only to crash on your planet where you and up finding him. You end befriending him so that he will fix your ship up entirely and soon you hear about a guy named Drek who is going around destroying planets and taking pieces to make a new planet in place of his old, poluted, and overpopulated home world, he gets in your way and you end up stopping him. There is some comedy in here, most of it is cheesey, but it's okay... 7/10!

Summary: Overall, this game makes for a fun, new experience from Insomniac Games, good platforming, bitchin' weapons, and just plain fun!

Overall Score: 8.5 out of 10!
