This subforum is as the title suggests, a fan place for all the dead characters of FFVII. This includes people like Zack, Aeris, Hojo, Lucrecia, and others. (Yes, these all count as dead) However, while characters like Sephiroth, Kadaj, and even Vincent could technically be in this category as well, they have their own places and therefore there is no need for them here.

Aeris was awesome... By the time I got to the end battle, I wanted to kill Sephiroth myself, and blow him to bits with G40 and a 37mm pistol like Vincent's. (lol)
But Aeris was awesome.

Actually... "Aeris" is the Americanization of her name, "Aerith". If you really want to be hardcore about it, then you should also be calling Vincent "Binsento", Zack "Zax", Reno "Leno", and Weiss "Vice", just to name a few examples.

I've been a FFVII fan since it first came out on PS1, and I figure that since I'm American, I should be using the American versions of everyone's names. I never really understood why everyone makes such a big deal about it. Even if the spellings are different, they're still basically pronounced the same...at least in a few cases, including Aeris.

Not trying to start an argument, by the way... Just throwing in my two cents.

Can someone tell me why the argument about her name always pops up? We all know who you're talking about. There aren't any other Aeris/Aeriths running around.

Please, let's avoid being elitists here, 'kay?

That said.. yes, I adore Aeris. I wasn't that fond of her to begin with, but in the last few years I've gotten to really like her; especially recently, when I've been writing from her point of view a great deal.

Sephiroth was probably the most bad a** villain I've seen in a video game; he though had his own motives; and he honestly was tormented mentally by the lies Shinra hid from him..

He is my absolute favorite villain of all time.
