An amazing progressive band with cynical views on life. With strange and hypnotic playing by Adam Jones while Maynard dubbed over with some shocking lyrics.
My favorite album by Tool (At least so far... 10,000 Days is nowhere to be found where I live...) has got to be Aenima. Excellent excellent views with some great effects. My favorites has got to be Stinkfist(First song that made me fall in love with Tool.) and the title track Aenima.... I just love the lyrics in this one... "Fret for your Lawsuits, and fret for your Latte...." and finally Eulogy.... Possibly has one of the biggest build-ups... By 2:37 you've hit heaven never has a song given me such chills besides Rooster by AIC.
If you haven't listened to them, I guess Lateralus is what attracts most people to their sound. You know with Schism and all those appealing tunes. Anyone else like this incrediable band?

oh..oh..me! Tool is pretty cool(check out that rhyme!), I only have the 10,000 Days album, it's pretty good, but I find the songs are a bit overlong sometimes, and there's at least 3 filler tracks on it(Lost Keys/Lipan Conjuring/Viginti Tres) but some of the songs are very good. "The Pot" is probabaly my favourite song on it.

Heh, that's kind of the basis of tool. Overlonging complex guitar riffs, with incredable Bass and not to mention the excellent chugging drumming. 10,000 days is actually the one I haven't heard. But I've been meaning too... Aenima rocks my socks, then Undertow... and after that Opiate and Lateralus are tied.

I've heard that Anema and Lateralus are the best ones by consensis(i think). Amnd yeh, i understand that the point is that the songs are kinda long and stuff it's just sometimes they can be 10 mins long for the sake of bieng 10 mins when an 8 min track would have said just as much...if you see my point. but yeh i still think theyre pretty good. execept for the last song on 10, 000 days, that's like sound for 5 mins

I don't know much by them, but from what I've heard they are pretty damn good. My sister used to listen to them a lot. I had one of their albums once, but that dispeared. I don't know what happened to it. But I like them.
