What if antibiotics were invented nine hundred years ago, on the continent of Atlantis, which never sank?

The year is 1724, roughly six hundred years after the first antibiotics, and the human race has been failing rapidly over the past few decades. At first it seemed that antibiotics were a blessing, but as the scientific geniuses of Atlantis cured disease after disease, more and more continued to spring up.
As a solution, thirteen years ago, (during the beginning years of England's Queen Marie's reign) Atlantis sent out several agents to collect DNA samples of people from all over the world. Unfortunetaly, this team was lead by a sick and twisted leader, who killed all of the people who they where collecting the samples from. The samples, being vital organs, such as the heart, or lungs, instead of a simple drop of blood or strand of hair.
Once the citizens of the world discovered that Atlantis was to blame for this corrupt team, they attacked, building a wall around the coast, blocking the water loving people from the ocean. Then, they proceeded to hunt down the members of the renegade team, slaughtering them publicly, and staking their heads in the capital of whatever country they were found in.

Today, things are worse then ever, the human race is prey to even the smallest of illnesses, a simple cold could render one physically or mentally damaged. So, in reconciliation for the wrong deeds of their countrymen all those long years ago, an underground operation has started, to save humankind. They are called, Phi, and can be recognized by a tattoo of a circle with a vertical line, striking through the center.

History: Padraic was born in Ireland County Derry. He was among the small cahtolic population and had to grow up fast. By the time he was fourteen he joined a rebel army trying to free ireland. One night when he was 16 some british troops raided his hide out slaughtering everyone. Luckily, or unluckily however you may look at it he was out buying groceries. When he gets back he see the place on fire and army vans filled with troops driving away. Angered Padraic leaves Derry and goes to london. While in London he meets the rag tag group from atlantis but when he sees them they are holding a woman against a wall by her neck and then they disect her heart while she is still alive and they just leave her. Padraic follows them back to their head quarters and assaults two guards before he is caught and imprissoned and shipped to atlantis.

Appearance: Average height, shoulder-length brown hair. Blue eyes. Very pretty, but looks younger than she actually is.
Personality: Mistri is extremely clever and wily. She's full of humor and laughs at everything, and she's a talented thief. She also has a way with people. She can charm the coldest soul, and often see the true nature of a person.
History: Mistri ran away from her parents at age nine and lived on the streets of Paris of two years before her aunt, Sara, found her and took her in. Mistri went to a boarding school when she was thirteen, where she learned English. At the school she met an English boy whose father is secretly in league with the ruthless people of Atlantis. She befriended the boy (whose name was Dean) and persuaded him to take her to Atlantis so she could join them. Truly, however, she had heard of Atlantis's atrocities and secretly (if foolishly) wanted to forsake Atlantis and join the mysterious Phi. Dean, who is very attached to Mistri, agrees. Mistri intends to use Atlantis to find the Phi and, disgusted by Dean's alliances, plans on giving him the slip when she discovers the Phi's headquarters.
