This is the thread were you can post your responses to the Drachen Welt House Leader Contest. Rules, Forum and Details below.
This Application session will Start July 10th. All Entries must be marked Final (with an X) by July 20th. All Entries will be read and finalize by July 21st(This date may vary depending on certain events.) If your forum is still incomplete from before, you may still continue to edit it.
Houses open for Audition: Light House, Earth House Elsin Clan(Foxen Only), Capricorn Clan (zondou only).
Rules:
-ALL ENTRIES MUST BE POSTED ON THIS THREAD! (any PM responses or responces in the shop will be ignored and deleted. Any other comments besides Applications on this thread will be deleted.)
-You can use any hybrid you wish, basic or not.
-You MUST BE SERIOUS about this compition and being Leader
-You must be active in the guild. Serious posts everyday. If you are going to be gone, you can have a second in command (appointed by you and approved by SapphireRain) stand in.
-You must be willing to work with the other leaders and be flexable to anything that comes up. Being leader does not mean you are "all powerful" you can be overthrown in power, but this shouldnt happen on a regular basis.
-You must be responsible for the thread (house and territory) you are assigned to.
-You must be fair and not get too power hungry.
-You are a leader and your character can be as power hungry and as kind as you want to be, but you cannot control EVERYTHING. this isnt a key to god mode in any way shape or forum.
-You must be found trustworthy by myself, as you will be given mod powers. If you are found to be abusing your mod powers you will be kicked out of the guild and all your hybrids will be revoked. Just...dont play with me. Ask me before you do anything. You will get more details on this if you are chosen.

-This contest is based on honesty, creativity and responsiblity. I know who most of you are anyway, but I will be basing my choices on your responses.
-I do not have to chose ANYONE. If I cant find all the leaders I need, then I will reopen this contest after the next flatsale.
-You can EDIT your responce as much as you want. WHEN YOU ARE DONE WITH YOUR RESPONCE, PUT AN "X" AT THE TOP OF THE THREAD. No x, I dont read it.

History of the Hybrid: (include the ACTUAL bio for this hybrid. Please use one you were planning on using for the Bio page. Including things like "greatest figher of all time and the daughter of the best and greatest hybrid in the world" will just make me laugh and ignore your entry. Its ok to add some things that include "great hybrids" but dont use that as your main point. Be creative. This also helps be determin who your hybrid really is.)
What you plan to do with the house: (what is a plot line you would like to follow? what would you like to happen? What are some goals you would like your hybrids to try and accomplish? Include a lot of details, interaction with other houses, ect. This should also reflect the personality of your character (a timid character shouldnt suddenly become an awesome outgoing war lord.) Feel free to be as creative as you want. )
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice: (what makes you different and bettter then everyone else? What do you want to see happening in the guild and why would you be the best choice to make this happen? Include how active you plan to be (be honest), any chances for conflict (you arent online much during the school year, certain days of the week, month long vacations, ect), How you would handle a problem or conflict if SapphireRain was not available to help, Responsiblity and anything else you would like to include. this is your chance to really sell your points.)

Name Of the Hybrid: Gulliver
Name of the House you are applying for: Earth House
General Characteristics/Personality of the Hybrid: Gulliver is a calm, laid-back hybrid, he doesnt beleive in strenious labor(But that does not mean he is lazy), or forcing others to do what they do not want to do. Gulliver is usually friendly to any hybrid, unless he knows them to be Dark House members, which he has a burning hatred for. Although calm, Gulliver isn't the most talkitive, and when he does talk, somethies doesn't even pay attention at all.
History of the Hybrid: Gulliver was the result of a birth Defect of two tinixes, which, as you can amagine, were very surprised as to what thier kin was. Quickly disowned, Gulliver was left alone on the forests between the Earth and Light House territory, where he managed to survive on bugs until found by humans, which held him captive, and auctioned him off to another person, which he ran away from at his fist chance.
What you plan to do with the house: Plan to be not so active in any "House Wars", But if worst comes to worst, Gulliver would definately come to try and ally with the light house. Otherwise, activity would not be much, besides a hunt for Earth elemental stone of power, Kept secret to only a few members. A consparicy could be stated, by say, a slip of the tounge, causing confusion, and the questions of lies. In a upkeeping way, also try to stay away, and defend the house from humans. The plot of the special magical stones dissapearing would be nice, but it might interfere with.. Other things.
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice: I don't have any reason whatsoever for Gulliver to be the best choice, Ecept that you think it would be funny, but thats not really a reason. For me, however, as everyone would know, I am definately, without boasting, the most active member of the DHC besides SapphireRain herself. I never take any long vacations if I can, and if I do, it's not very often at all. If i would have a vacation, I would almost always be able to tell you in advance. I think Im not too annoying with others, and even when the most annoying, I'm never mean unless they've been mean to me for a time.

Name Of the Hybrid: Kuragari
Name of the House you are applying for: Well, I'm not sure which would be best for her. She is a fire element, and fire and earth don't really go to well together. Maybe Light, but her fur is black, Lets just go with Light house.
General Characteristics/Personality of the Hybrid: Kuragari is a very outgoing cub. She's still very young, but can act big and tough. She's kind of like one of those little Chihuahua that think their all tough, but are really the smallest dog. But other times, she can be timid. But that's only when she gets picked on a lot. Especially about her weak points.
History of the Hybrid: Kuragari is a runt, and wasn't looked after that much by her mother, or fellow brothers and sisters. After she was weaned, and old enough to go out on her own and survive, she did so. She would walk for days, searching for someone to love her. She almost gave up, when she found Sapphy. She took the small hybrid in, and helped her get her strength back. After that, she was put up for adoption along with other hybrids like her. I just happened to pick her up, and cared for her. She is the sweatiest thing around, mostly thanks to Sapphy's love and caring that was shown to her before.
What you plan to do with the house: Well, If Kuragari became leader of the Light house, she would probably take all of the members, and travel all around Drachen Welt, and explore the outskirts, or the barren parts of the land to see what's out there. If she isn't able to do that, or the other house members decide against it, they would just mingle with the other hybrids. If its even possible, go to another part of the Earth, outside of Drachen Welt.
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice: Well, Kuragari has always wanted to be with other hybrids, and hang around the shop a lot more than she has been doing, but I haven't really had the time to bring her there (LIES!) Actually, I've been a little afraid of bringing her in there. We both have this little fear of being around people we don't know too well, and every time I come to the shop, everybody seems to be getting along so well. And I'm a little afraid that we won't be accepted into the small family that you have created among each other. But I have made a little resolution to come to the shop more often, and to not be as afraid. But, in the starting school year, and two weeks before August. I won't be around much. I'm in the marching band in school, and we have a lot of practices that we need to have. But after October, I'll be on a lot more.

Name Of the Hybrid
Maion
Name of the House you are applying for
Light House
General Characteristics/Personality of the Hybrid
Maion is a very interesting Tigon, also a little small for her kind. She is a bit of a goof, but mostly in a sarcastic, calculating way; when she gets mad, or determined, you'd better watch out. Usually, Maion is incredibly reserved, unless she has a smart-a** remark to say, which is fairly often. She is mostly analytical and watches before she gets in the middle of something. She doesn't hate anyone -well, not yet-, and is always trying to find the Truth in everything. The Truth may not be in "black or white", or even a shade of gray, but she will always do her best to hunt it down. Maion is a very strong believer in politeness, but more so in a way of respect and honor. Also, Maion loves storms, and in a sticky situation, she tends to be a reflection of her observations. Whenever a storm is around, with lightning involved (otherwise she doesn't count it as a storm), she is out in the midst of it. Maion is also very nice, at least tries to be. Generally always looking on the brighter side of things, she knows how to change situations to her advantage.
History of the Hybrid
The history of Maion is, incomplete, to say the least. She doesn't talk about it much...if she knows anything, she either ignores it or just is silent. Honestly, I don't think she knows, for her eyes go misty-eyed and searching when asked about her childhood. For all she cares, she fell from the sky -in a storm- as she is now. It doesn't hurt her sparkling personality, though.
What Maion (and others) knows She arrived at the Light House when she was already matured. The members took her in and in no time at all (she pledged for the house for, like, a day) she was a sister in the Light House. As she opened up to everyone around her, Maion's personality started to show through.
What you plan to do with the house
First, I really want to look for and create plots for the House and its members. I would like to work with Sapphire and other House Leaders (if "elected") to see what kind would be acceptable. A military, or something like that, will be started for the defense of the House from other hybrids and humans as well; this will also depend on plots. Also, Maion would plan on starting a kind of council, or group of "advisors" to attempt more openness in the House and throughout the area. It would also be nice to see some kind of amabassadors or such -what these would entail, I'd have to talk with other House Leaders about-. If some battles do come up, it will not be some little fight between a few members of the groups. She will use her head to figure out a better solution than an all-out war. Maion will also try to create at least some relationship ties with the other Houses, and the new Clans. There is also another plot I would like to bring back, if it is allowed. I heard that the Light House used to be the "protectors" of the Stones of Power, and I would like to put that into plots too. Of course, I would have probably no say in who gets the stones, I would like to have stories going with each hybrid that gets a stone, and make the "arrival" of one much more interactive (with the consent of those in charge). I would also like to organize the House a bit more. Of course, the specifics will depend on other Houses/Clans, and the Leaders, and such.
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice
I don't know about Maion *gets tail-thwapped*, but I am a very dedicated person. I love being involved in things, and seeing things through all the way. When it comes to events and things, I love organizing and keeping things under control. Also, I am not afraid of asking questions and working with people. As long as the other person/people are accepting of me, I get along very well with them, I also have a lot of plans for plots and such -my evil job bores me, so I think of a lot of stuff at that time-. I love Role-Playing and I love Maion (although I don't think the feeling's mutual *shocked* ). I think she would be an awesome House leader!
Testing *taps microphone* I think I would be a great Light House Leader. I may not be the most knowledgeable about the other Houses, but I will learn quite quick. What I do not know can help, at least in the beginning, prevent biases in the beginning. While I tend to be fairly analytical and quite thoughtful, I am also fair and do my best to find the best solution. If chosen as Light House Leader, I will not let the house down. I am very open to new ideas and have lots of plans on how to make the House better and more organized. Even if I am not chosen for House Leader, I will be active in the House to help and assist whoever the Leader is, as long as they would like to hear any counsel I may be able to give.
Other Considerations
Unfortunately, there are a few sweatdrop
July 31-August 13: Going to Texas for "vacation" I'll be around a lot, but there will prob be a couple days at a time where I will not be around... but I can make up for it (I hope) sweatdrop I guess this won't affect as much since this will be the transition phase... meaning the threads will be set up, the guild re-vamped, and everyone will be thinking about their place in things
Aug 13-Aug 23 (?): I have school friends coming to visit and we are seeing around the city. After that, I have work training at school and then school starts eek I should have no problem getting on at least once a day, though.
After that: Things should settle down quite a bit. There will probably be a couple times where I cannot get on 1 or 2 days, but that will be due to Shows, a Regional Flying Competition, and Holidays
Late Jan-Mid June '06: I am going to Greece, but I have a feeling I will be online A LOT! (I will have no cellphone to call family and friends crying )

Name Of the Hybrid: Polaris - Basic Tigon
Name of the House you are applying for: Earth House
General Characteristics/Personality of the Hybrid: Polaris is a very noble, loyal and strong Tigon, having been the choosen leader of his small family (my other adopted hybrids). He has natural born leader instincts, but unlike his brother Corann, he doesn't let this interfere with his relationships with others; he tries to be as helpful as possible, without seeming pushy or bossy. Polaris is usually kind to most hybrids, even of the opposing house. He does not judge hybrids based on their houses, but judges them based on their own actions. Polaris is also very protective of those close to him and will fight if he feels his family is in danger. One weakness he could have though is his trust in everyone, until given a reason to believe otherwise.
History of the Hybrid: Polaris was born of two simple hybrids and once he was old enough to find a home of his own, he did so. Soon after he found himself accompanied by many other hybrids, all of which had very different personalities, that he had grown very fond of. His family, as they all liked to call it, soon grew up with one another and decided with his great leader skills, he would be the best to lead them through their lives. A strange pack indeed, but nevertheless a wonderful family for him.
Now that all of the hybrids have been broken into houses where each one has a chance to really belong, Polaris has decided to try his hand at becoming an even greater leader.
What you plan to do with the house: Although Polaris is borderline between war and peace, he believes it might be best to actually have some part in the decisions of the hybrids and their houses. A future ally could be found and most likely with the light house. Polaris wants to, most importantly, protect those following him in the Earth House, even if that means training them to make sure they can protect themselves if worse comes to worse. Not all of Polaris' plans revolve around war, however, he also wants to create small house holidays and celebrations that he, and the other earth house hybrids could enjoy, possibly getting to know one another better. His main goal as the leader would be to knit his house together to become as close a family as his own.
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice: I think Polaris would make a great Earth House leader because of his love of working in a group and ability to take charge in difficult situations. Polaris also has great goals for the Earth House and I think that if he was really given a chance, he would be able to make them come true.
As for me, I think i'd make a good house leader because I'm online quite a bit and I will always have access to a computer at least once a day (unless i'm on vacation, and if that was the case, i'd be able to notice everyone before hand). I will be moving, but i'll still have access to a computer so that won't change anything. I work three days a week, but still manage to come online just as often. Honestly, I could probably spend at least three hours a day on the computer.
I'd like to see this guild remain active and I would try and keep that happening by including new activities and things for my house to do (like I mentioned before, ceremonies, holidays, training, etc). I'll try and keep everyone from getting bored and try my best to follow certain plot lines, increasing everyone's activity in the guild/thread.
If a problem occured in the guild, then I would try my best to keep it from growing larger. I tend to seem a bit too "motherly" at times with how I deal with things, but it's worked out for the most part.

Name Of the Hybrid: Summers Twilight Breeze, aka Twilight
Name of the House you are applying for: The Earth House.
General Characteristics/Personality of the Hybrid:
Twilight is easy going, she loves to make friends but will not tolerate rudeness and judging of others. It just makes her cranky. Twilight isnt weak, she is swift in movement and diedly with fang and claw. She is more than willing to give her own life for another. She likes to smile, even when shes in the worst of moods she'll smile. She's kind to those in need of her help, and always willing to give a hoof or paw to help.
History of the Hybrid:
Twilight is the twin and baby sister to Devil's Forgotten Cry, being his twin was never easy. Having your brother kill anything that brought you happiness is never a fun thing, though she does not remember her parents she is often told she comes from a strong and pure bloodline. Twilight grew up roaming with her brother, never meeting many others in their movement, plus it didnt matter, any friend she made Devil made sure of to scare away or kill before her eyes. She grew up thriving for her life, knowing she wouldnt get any special protection from Devil she made it her goal to grow into adulthood. Though her brother never let anything happen to her. Though finally growing up Twilight ventured away from her brother to make it out in the world on her own, coming to a foresty area she met others, and even met her own mater there SchwarzWind.
What you plan to do with the house:
Make the house, tight. A close knit group, to where Twilight may have final say in everything but everyone's voice is heard. A few challenges here and there but nothing over powering, though nothing to dull. Warrior trainings for those Hybrids that wish to train for battle or for self protection. Mothering groups for those Hybrids that have breed or are breeding,and or Fostering a young Hybrid. Free forming, giving the Hyrbids room to grow or places to grow old with their special someone or friends. Letting those in the house grow to their highest level's helping others come out of their shy shells and break away from only befriending their own housemates.
Why you think you and your Hybrid are the best choice:
Twilight isnt more special than someone else, shes just a bit of everything. She is willing to stand her ground when pushed, and yet she knows when to back off when its a lost cause. She is strong and smart, and would know how to keep her house close and together, moving as one. And I, Muffin am on gaia atleast 3.5 hours a night and always read from where i last posted to where the last person posted that day. Both Twilight and I are fair to everyone, who deserves to be treated fair. If war breaks out between houses and we are involved then we will do what the whole house see's fit to do, if its to go into battle or to help those in need instead.
