I just wanted to get the opinion of my peers on this. I'm a longtime bond fan (Yes...even Tim Dalton...) and I must say I was quite impressed by the back-to-basics approach to Bond they decided to take. What were your opinions on this elites?

I decided after Goldeneye I was never seeing another Bond movie ever, and I've been good about it so far.

I haven't really watched many of the Bond movies, but for Casino Royale. It sucked.
I wasted $10 for commercials/previews, and then the opening credits were like ten minutes long, and it looked like iPod people shooting hearts. Stupid, but whatever. And the movie was ongoing. It could have ended soooo many times, but nah, it just had to keep going.
Well, that's my opinion on it. =]

Personally I loved it. The new bond is much classier than Brosman (sp?), and as for the movie; this one tickled my fancy because it took a huge step back from the incredibly lame si-fi twist that the previous bond movies had been aproaching and got back to just Bond being the suave, witty, cool minded agent that he is, or was in the older movies. The part where he got into the resort by crashing that rich p***k's car was awesome. That is how bond is supposed to be. Quick thinking, reckless, and cool.
