It's okay.
You need to work on making him and Akamaru less angular. Try to align his facial features with his chin and make his eyes slant upward to indicate his active nature. Consider the shoulder positions because his right shoulder looks broken and left one looks too stiff. Add some furry-like lines to his the fur in his hood to make it more 3 dimensional.
As for Akamaru, imagine his body curve over Kiba's round head and make him more 3 dimensional (especially the arms and curve the top of his head a little. Make the eyes slant upward if you're trying to show that he's happy. He looks confused/ suspicious/ angry at the same time with his eyebrows and mouth like that.
Work on your shading more and explore with a wood pencil (if you're using mechanical pencil, you're just making it hard on yourself). Examine some different textures (fur, coat, skin, etc.). Preferably, I would start with a hard lead pencil (HB, H, etc.) then you can go two ways:
1. Use the same pencil hardness throughout the drawing with varying amounts of pressure. <2. Use an HB, H, etc. pencil for the primary shade, then a softer pencil (B, 2B, etc.) and go layer by layer<< for beginners

Make Akamaru's paws look like they're on Kiba's forehead instead of in front of them. They look like they're just rectangles hanging off.
But other than that, that picture is very good!
