Chia pet has now evolved into an herb garden. See? I'm wondering if they're actually worth the money and if the herbs are as good as they claim. Just thought I'd share.

How wonderful! OO
I think, though, it maybe cheaper to get get the little peat pots, where you put a seed in the center and water it, and it expands around your seed. But that's still wonderful!

my mom is convinced that's it's a waste of money, and I should just go out to a plant shop and buy one herb to start with. but depending on the price of the the herb garden it may be cheaper than buying the four plants from a nusery. I think I'm going to hint to my hubby I want one. and then maybe buy the two extra pots and sponges and grow all six plants they give you seeds for (yay for not having to deal with dirt xd ).

I did a little more reasearch on this. So far there is nowhere locally that lists having it in store. But it looks like it's cheaper to buy from the websight anyway. it's listed a retail $45.99 and their price is listed as $29.99. Only a $16 difference but that's dinner for two nights (dinner one night and leftovers the next xd ) for my family. I'm still looking for information on the success rate others have had with it. Once I find that info I'll let ya'll know.
Off topic: I'm going to be leaving town from the 20th to the 30th this month. We're going up north to see my family. Just a heads up that I wont be on as much since we've started the preparing process. Y'know, making lists, buying shoes for me that don't have mesh sides (mesh shoes + snow = BRRRRR!!!) buying little boots and a snowsuit for babygirl, and a jacket for hubby. I'll post while I can before I leave though. biggrin
