Unless you're me, you probably have 2 dollars & 50 cents lying around that you could spare... or five dollars... or, hell, 50 dollars, I don't know. (Yes, I'm talking about U.S. currency.) You know the best way to get lots of gold fast? Donating to Gaia & selling the donation letters. I'm posting this now because, in Gaian time, it's a little over three hours until it becomes December. Which means, no more November 2006 donation letters, but Sealed Envelopes.
If you want or "need" gold before the 15th, the best time to sell your sealed envelopes for December is early on the 1st. Gaians are on the whole silly -- they all rush to buy Sealed Envelopes the day they come out. If you're looking to purchase Sealed Envelopes, the best time is between the 5th & the 10th of each month, approx. Similarly, the other wonderful time to sell Sealed Envelopes is the day they turn into December 2006 Letters, & the items in them become avaliable. Advice for people interested in purchasing donation items on the month they are donation items: wait. They're not going anywhere! Have you seen the price of MoMos over the past few days? They've dropped to 9k. Yes, drops like that will almost definitely always occur.
... Yeah, that's all. I'm saving the secrets of the universe for a more appropriate time 3nodding

great advice ! Being patient is always the key when your buying. Momo might look great on your friend who has a credit card, but selling all of your possessions to get momo the first day he's out = bad idea. Also, you can be patient with donation items. Selling right away is profitable. But so is holding out. Sometimes you get lucky and the wait is very short. For a great look at what can happen to a popular item if you wait it out instead of selling early = tektek.org Search for Katana. This item became very expensive very quickly.
Oh, and Kayla. Im so ready for the universes secrets ! gonk Id probably go spouting them off to everyone though ....oh yeah, here's one : the egg came first ! xp rofl

But the richest Gaians are the ones that invest, either actively or by happening to be around Gaia long enough to have a bunch of items that are now worth a fortune. Investing -- at least long term investing -- probably shouldn't be attempted if you're a newbie.
... No way; no secrets for you, missy! Not yet. One tiny little portion of a tiny little fraction of the ancient, almighty secrets of the universe would have you climbing up the walls blaugh Try Ms. Alien sir, it probably knows a thing or two.
Which came first, the chicken-or-the-egg question or Darwin? rofl

Dude, aren't you like, 20? Get yourself a dang credit card. I have a bank account & I'm not even 18 yet blaugh
Seriously, though... Gaia has like, every possible payment option as a, well, option. You can mail in cash. I think they're in California. If you mail in cash, though, use as few bills as you can (like, a 10 instead of two 5s), and wrap it in a piece of paper, so no one can see through the envelope. But, Gaia would probably tell you that.

Vexx88 so how much can the donation letters sell out for? im new to all this gaia stuff so sry for noob question edit : you can go here : monthly collectables to get the word straight from gaia. Right now ( since its dec 1st ) we only have sealed envelopes. On the 15th of this month, gaia will unseal the envelope that you receive by donating and reveal the two items inside ( which you can choose from. You get one ,not both ). At that time, it becomes a thank you letter for that month. On the 15th of december, all of this months sealed envelopes will become "Thank you letter for december 2k6 ". However, you can buy sealed envelopes on the market right now. But only for the month your in. Dont do this though, because the price will not reflect what the item inside is. Its just a general price, usually something near 12 k. Once the item is released though, everyone will go crazy and it will spike up. But alas ... a week after that the price plumets, sometimes below 9 k. So the moral of the story is, until you know whats in it, dont buy it. Wait for the item to come out. Decide if its worth the money, and then wait for the price to go down. 3nodding Or you could always just donate to Gaia. 2.50 cents = one letter 3nodding ( kayla, should we start calling them "monthly collectables". Im afraid to do this because of the confusion it will create to the people who are new... but not that new, you know what I mean ? )

But still, their known as donation items, & I believe they have been for quite some time. Besides, "monthly collectables" sounds stupid & is annoying to type blaugh

Wow,really thanks for the tips xd I nearly buy those sealed envelope. Because one time I saw one Gaian sell it for only 10k, but when I clicked to buy, it already gone..someone bought it first crying .
Last month (Nov) I bought 2 sealed envelopes for 11100 each on 10th Nov, hoping the item will come out nice, but I only open one of them. I took the ufo instead of momo. Its not that I dont like momo, but I'm just not that excited about that item, so I decided not to open the second envelope until now.
So, I want to ask for your suggestion, is it worthy to select the momo monkey or just keep the letter unopened? sweatdrop

You're welcome heart
Try to always keep your password copied when searching for stuff in the marketplace, so then when you see a really good deal like that 10k envelope, you can just paste it into the box instead of wasting time typing your password in. Every millisecond counts 3nodding
Unless you want MoMo for yourself, don't open it! Always vend sealeds [that's what them crazy vending fiends call donation letters from any month that are still in letter form, incase anybody's reading this & is totally lost], or at the very least keep the letter sealed up until you're ready to sell it, & if tektek & your observations from the marketplace say it's more profitable to sell an item in the envelope than the envelope itself, then open it. Oh, & definitely don't sell that letter now! The prices are still at an all-time low. But they will go up, sometime... it's inevitable. I know waiting can be really annoying -- I mean, I'm the least patient person in the universe -- but you won't be able to get more than 9.5k if you're really lucky from the Nov. 2006 envelopes at the moment.

I have no money to put in the bank account right now so it would be pointless. Once I get one I will be donating $5-$10 a month biggrin

People are always so iffy about sending cash via the USPS. I've sent cash in the mail on many, many occasions over the past few years, & I've never had any problems whatsoever. Quite frankly, I've actually heard a lot more "horror stories" about paypal than I have about mailing US paper currency. Plus, there's always money orders...
