why must the new halo 3 only come out only on the 360. It's not fair. ok so the graphics are amazing and only a 360 could produce them but they should produce a not so good version so that people like me without 360s can play them on an old x box.

And then half the people would no longer need to buy the 360, and it would kill Microsoft's market.

Sadly yes, and I'm very saddened by this. I want my Halo 3! But I can't see myself buying a haxbox 360, or at least not for a while and with some heavy persuasion of my boyfriend. sweatdrop

The 360 needs it as a title, and the 360 is letting them push it to the limit. all I need is $500. biggrin smile crying

I have a xbox 360 and i will be buying halo 3 of course.But i do feel for you people who cant afford a 360 because 360's are very very expensive for kids.Sorry to all the people who despise me for having a 360 (heheheh evil )

Thats like asking the ppl who made Final Fantasy to keep on making it for the PS1 when theres hardware available to have it come out on a better system. rolleyes

But yeah, it would be a stupid move to make Halo 3 come out on the old Xbox, they need another killer app to boost the 360 above PS3, and what better way to do that than Halo 3? We've got Gears (I hate Playstations with a passion) and Halo to boost up the sales.
Even releasing it on the PC at the same time would damage their sales somewhat, since Vista has only just got Halo 2, so releasing it so soon afterwards would be a bit of a bad move.
You gotta think marketing with all this. Microsoft is out for your money and they will get it, no matter how hard you try. But personally, I'd cry if they ever even thought of releasing Halo 3 on the original Xbox. Halo 2 was bad enough, Halo 3 would be ruined. The Xbox just doesn't possess enough sheer power to handle such a game.

It sucks it's only going to be on the 360 that disappointed me because it looks kick a**. But after getting the Wii i don't have any money for the 360.

The capabilities of the Xbox are not nearly enough to handle Halo3. They would have to cut so much out of the game just to fit it on the Roiginal Xbox, that it wouldnt be worth it. Besides, its time to jump onboard the next-gen train.
