 The tall mare smiled contentedly as her eyes ran over the sleeping forms of her day-dwelling friends and, beyond them, the grazing shapes of those who favoured the night. Both ends of the day belonged to Nyx, rising as the moon reached its mid-point and going to her rest as the sun found its was her way.
It seemed the perfect balance to her, the dark blue of night and the rich orange a sunrise, reflecting the patterns on her coat. The aeri bowed her head to nibble contentedly at the grass beneath her hooves. Of all the places in the world that she knew of, D'ob kept the best fodder all year around.

 The deep Purple stallion was most active during the dark night but alas the sun rose as it did every sunrise, why couldn't the sun just leave the world in cold empty darkness? The unusually large bae walked calmly showing no emotion as usual, so many more nequus had appeared and it made him rather uncomfortable now, the night was as active as the day. Thin silver spiderweb strands caught the light and shone on his deep colored hide.
The dark stallion tossed his blood stained moonlight mane as coal black eyes watched thoes arounf him, an Aeri caught his attention one of the strangest colored creatures he had ever seen. He chose to ignore her as he went to his patch that was invaded he gave a strong dangerous "Leave" before they cantered away, he began to munch on the grass there still in darkness of the trees that Surrounded him.

The brightly coloured mare raised her head and looked around as an unfamiliar glimmer caught her eye. A Bae was grazing not far off, a Bae that was not known to her, not one of her group. Nyx flicked her short tail at a late flying insect and walked over to stand near by the stallion.
"Hello there," she said softly so as not to disturb the peace of the still winter night. "I haven't seen you in these parts before. Feel free to walk with my herd for as long as you like, new members or even just visitors are always welcomed along with any tales of the lands you have passed through on your way here that you wish to share."

"Nor have I seen you" he replied "And I walk alone as it always has been." he told her least she was quiet. That much he was thankful for... "Tales?" he repeted "hah. My tales would scare the life out of every foal and grown adult alike you would not care for my grim tales... Lady" he replied with no emotion The darkness seemed to gather around him from the light as it grew brighter in the day. Winter was so cold... and empty just as he,
with that he returned to grazing.

"I... see," the mare said slowly, watching the plum coloured stallion bend his neck to the grass once more. "Well," she said after a moment's uncertain silence. "You are still welcome here, you can walk by yourself with other people around, mmh?"
What a strange Bae. Ah well, I suppose we all have our little quirks.
Nyx lent down to crop at the grass once more, her blue eyes watching the strange stallion carefully. He didn't seem hostile but it paid to remain alert though not necessarily especially wary.

Velg'larn flicked his tail if he had emotions he would have been annoyed with the Aeri's prying into his business but he gave no reaction. "I preffer when no one is around," he stated flatly his voice empty " I go were I must even though there are others..." he made no thanks for her offer he walked were he pleased.
The spider stallion cared not for this mare in the least, the sun was rising and he would finish his food quickly and leave before everyone else awoke, it would be quite bother some with everyone around. Velg'larn watched and noted she still remained quite alert, least she wasn't stupid he thought.

Nyx frowned slightly, she wasn't sure she liked this stallion with his aloof manner and his rudeness. "Humm... I see. Well. This isn't the best place in the world to be if you like solitude you know," she told him more kindly than she felt he deserved. "A large group of Nequus lives here abouts, I'm surprised you haven't run into anyone before me."
Then again maybe he had and had given them the same cold shoulder he was giving to her. The powerfully built mare sighed and bent to nibble at the grass again. Bother him,he could do as he liked the chilly-hearted twit, it didn't affect her too greatly.
Still, a little courtesy never killed anyone; why are there so many people that seem to try so hard to avoid it?

"This is the only place for this kind of grass," He said not mentioning he had only come to the surface a few months ago. "I am good at avoiding others" He knew from her sigh that she didn't like him, although he didn't care in the least, she could fall into the deepest pits of the fire mountains for all he cared.
"Good day Lady" Velg'larn said as he finished and then he bowed his head and left, the sun on his dark purple back. he Tossed his long silver mane and departed from the clearing intothe forests.

Nyx watched the tall bae retreat with another sigh and a slight shake of her head. Hopefully he would go away and stay away, the last thing she needed was a disagreeable Nequus like that hanging around. Still, she thought as she bent back to her grazing, if he did return she would still be civil, probably still be kind; anger and unpleasantness towards others were not in her nature and it took a great deal to uncover them.
The purple stallion, cold though he had been, had come nowhere near rousing her anger but the orange and blue mare did feel a tinge of dislike for him.
Pushing the bae out of her mind, the tall Aeri raised her head and turned in the opposite direction to the one that the purple stallion had taken. Hopefully her day would improve from here. Hopefully.
