The war in Iraq: Was it a mistake? Should we stay the course or pull out?

The war at first was for a good cause, in my opinion. We were going to get rid of a leader who was known for having innocent people assasinated and look for weapons that could hurt people.
I don't know if we should pull out. I don't think we should quit, but I don't want anymore people to be hurt. If we left Iraq the way it is, we'd probably have a giant civil war on our hands. And America would be blamed for it.
So...I guess I'm impartial?

Concidering I don't keep up much with the news, I can't say I know all the details of what's happened.
9/11 was terrible, yes, and I think retaliating was a good idea...but it's gone on way too long. It's not getting anywhere and it's only causing problems. I mean, I've seen more military recruting commercials recently than I've ever seen. Bush just wants more people to go over there...but to do what? Kill people, destroy things, get killed?
Can't we just move on now?

I agree with you Sunny. But the thing is, Iraq has NOTHING to do with 9/11. Saddam supposedly had weapons of mass destruction. But oh wait, guess not. I think the whole thing was a mistake to begin with and I think that the fact that Saddam tried to assassinate George Bush Sr. had a lot of influence on the decision to invade

war in geraral is a bad thing >.> i can under stand some things but when theres no clear cut reson to have war i thik its wrong now at the same time i think bush bashers are wrong too. you need to be happy with who you have in office and not complain i mean he was voted in twice so he must of done some thing right >.>

Personaly i would like us to pull outta Iraq. My reason being Im going into the Army, and i leave Jan/3/08. I dont wanna go so I think we should pull out.

I understand why we went out to war. Though, now that Sudaam is gone, and the people have some more freedom with the new democracy, wouldn't it be best to leave? I mean our country is having huge economic problems, and Bush and his team just don't seem to care about it much. We have illegal immigrants running in here, and it has been bugging me a lot. I live in CA and seriously wherever I go I see a lot of Hispanics. I'm not racist, but I'm just annoyed. One time I walked into a store and asked where I could find a certain type of skirt. The lady who worked there that I asked did not speak English at all! She ended up asking another lady who also didn't understand. Then after the 3rd one, she says there's none in the store. I mean that was a waste of time. Ugh!
