I saw two "What Is Your Favorite Song" from POTO boards, and I figured I would do this. What is your LEAST favorite song from POTO?
And I don't want to hear a dozen "All I Ask Of You" answers. XD
My least favorite song would have to be "Masquerade", for it is a pain to listen to when you are listening to it with head phones (which is basically how I listen to my CDs) and it is a rather pointless song. You pretty much get the idea of it after the first verse. You don't need a couple more verses with the same idea repeated by a group of people very loudly.
And I know I am going to be killed for this one (if you hadn't for the last one), but I am also not that fond of "Music of the Night." Don't get me wrong! It is beautiful when done by the right person. I just don't find it that entertaining. I usually skip it and go straight onto "Notes".
I also don't like the first part of "The Mirror". You know, when Raoul comes in and they start singing of how crazy Christine is. XD I just find it pointless.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Note: The comments on the poll are just for fun; I don't really feel that way about most of those songs. smile Also, please check out my "What Are Your Favorite Musicals?" thread on the off-topic board.

I would have to say that I like all the songs, but sometimes the Prima Dona one can get annoying. Its just like... She sings so off key!!! ARGH!!! I hate that. I have a very musical ear, being a singer and pianist myself, and even the sound of her voice... Like nails on a chalkboard.

I do love all of the songs personally, but when I play the Brightman/Crawford CD in my CD player, I seem to always want to skip is "Entr'acte."
Yes, I realize it has absolutely no words, but it still counts as a song! Right? Then again it was never a huge part in the musical, just a space-filler..

OMG...I despise Masquerade....Too peepy-cheery for Phantom...*shudder* And they say the word 'Masquerade' too much...
EDIT: And what is the point of it anyway? It doesn't add anything to the musical at all. To me it's just a song to fill space.

I like all the songs ^_^
But the most horrid of them all is .... "No One Would Listen."
I like Gerik and all, but the lyrics and the song overall? No. Just no.

I hate "Think of Me". Ecspecially the vocalising at the end. "The Mirror" and "Prima Donna" annoys me as well.

I love all of the songs, but my least favorite is probably "Little Lottie" just because, in the movie at least, the words aren't sung. That makes for a very boring 2 minutes of talking with the real melody behind it for me. But I love every song!

The songs I hate have to be:
Little Lotte: pointless spoken song
Notes: dumb and pointless in general
The song before Don Juan triumphant, where Raoul is singing, "...but remember we hold the ace. I only like Christine's part.
My favorite songs of P.O.T.O are Phantom of the Opera and Think of Me and Down Once More (it's so sad crying )

I pretty much love all of the songs. I really am not too fond of any of Carlotta's singing however. Any song she sings is a chore to listen to. Otherwise, I love all the songs. smile

On the Webber CD, it'd be Overture/Hannibal. I don't know why, but I don't like to sit and listen to it. I just go straight to Think of Me and fill in the beginning in my head instead of going all the way through it.

I think that Learn to be Lonely is a pretty bad song. I dont' like Minnie Driver's voice that much, and the music is totally unlike the rest of the soundtrack. It sounds too...popish.
Also, Think of Me sometimes gets on my nerves. But I believe it's because of the fact that it''s the only Phantom song I can't sing. Someday, though... stare

I think I mainly don't like think of me because it's just boring kinda and prima donna cuz I don't like Carlotta all that much...

I don't really like Prima Donna. Not because of Carlotta, though; it's because of the fact that Raoul and the managers keep disobeying Erik. And they call him a lunatic!
I don't like We Have All Been Blind/Twisted Every Way. I don't know why, really. It's probably just the melody.
I can't stand Don Jaun. That part before Point of No Return when Carlotta, Piangi and that Passarino just gives me the chills.
No One Would Listen has a nice tune, don't get me wrong, but I don't like the lyrics. They make me cry every time. crying
