Yes, it is in fact the 105th anniverary of Walt Disney's birth. Every year I write Mr. Disney a letter on his birthday. So if you have any feelings about this amazing man to share, please do so here.
Dear Walt Disney,
Happy Birthday. There are so many times in my life, that I wish that you hadn't left us so early. I just want you to know how loved you are, even now. We may have never met in life (because I was born after the time of your death) but you have inspired me in ways that no one else ever could.
In the hardest times of my life, all I had was the knowledge, ideas, and beliefs that you had installed in me with the wonderful stories of truth and love you showed to the world. You taught me to be true to myself when not even my family thought that was a very important lesson for me to learn.
Through all the great thing you had done, you invoked curiosity, creativity, and imagination in me and made me want to tell amazing stories also.
Throughout the eight years I've known them, you have been the bond between my sisters and me, no matter how much we fought with one another, we always had heart in common, and have never been able to stay away from one another.
And now, my love of all the beautiful things you have created has brought me to find a place where I can share my passion with others who love your work just as much.
I've always thought of you as a father, because you showed me all the life lessons I really needed when I was young, you inspired me to believe in thing whether I can see them or not. In my desperate hours, you gave me hope to live for. Thank you.
Happy Birthday, to the father of my imagination.
Even though we never met, I miss you every day.
Forever in your Honor,
Amanda
