Really, I just think that we represent something other than normalcy. We're the ones that like revolution, we're the ones that like the guitars turned up to 11, and we're, really, I think just different from what they think should be "normal." I just think for some it's a question of tolerance.

I dont hate cops. I hate pigs because they go on a power crazy, and since most punks protest, and fight for rights they dont know what to do because they have been used to beating kids up and picking on them since high school. So we clash.

They don't have the right, but they do anyway.
Some punks were standing outside the the First Unitarian Church in Philly after a show, and a pig told them to leave. Picking out only them from the various other members of the community, and the refused. He told the one guy to get on the ground cause he was going to arrest him. He refused once again, and that pig and another one beat him with their batons.
BUT! I was in a car accident in philly with some friends and the cop on the scene was really nice, and helped us out, so they arent all bad. Just gotta watch out for the pigs

Yeah, I've met cool cops, but a lot of them are those upstart, "anything-you-do-wrong-is-a-crime" guys, the ones that will stop you and order you for doing nothing.

The society we live in today have trained people to be afraid of anything different or unknown. Since the punk culture prides itself on being both different and, for the most part, unknown to average joes and janes around the world, all these people can do is believe all the horrible (but sometimes funny) stories of past experiences with people from the punk culture and "protect" themselves accordingly.
Cops are no different... well, they are different because they have guns, night sticks, and tazers on them at all times and average people don't.... but other then that they're no different. Some cops were brought up to accept abnormality and some of them that I've met were even abnormal when they were younger. Others are just bible-thumping, head-up-their-butts, pigs who should have one good shot to the crotch with their own tazer.
