Personally, I am VERY much excited for this game. A look into the past, full of Zack, Sephiroth, Aeris and new characters. (Though technically, they're old characters, because it's a prequel and... oh, nevermind.)

Here are some other sources to check out for Crisis Core. I'm actually really excited about this game too, despite also being really wary about how the game will go. I mean, how many prequels/sequels can one game take? But anyway.

Random note. I love how Sephiroth is described as "a bit of an elitist" in the character profiles in the second link. Um, understatement much? xd That, and I love how young and adorable and innocent everyone is/looks at that point in the FF7 timeline. LOOK AT THEM! heart

I see your point, m'dear, but personally, I'm loving the HELL out of all the prequels and sequels. I mean, when I first saw Advent Children I very literally squeed all over the place throughout the duration of the movie (Yeah, I still do....your point? blaugh ), and the first time I started playing DoC, I just about had a heart attack due to my extreme fangirlism... But anyway, my point is...yeah, there ARE a lot of prequels/sequels, but you gotta love it just for the fanservice, if nothing else. mrgreen

Speaking of, I can't help but wonder how many "butt shots" of Zack we'll get to see in CC, considering I lost count of how many there are of Vincent in DoC. Ahhh, Squeenix really does have love for the squealing fangirls. rofl

More seriously, I too squeed like a fool over Advent Children. I still remember my first viewing of it- on a friend's laptop at school in between classes. People gave me funny looks. It was awesome.

But I still can't help but be wary. I've been disappointed many a time in the past by sequels that were just... wrong. They made me cry, and not in the good way either. Old habits die hard, y'know.

gonk Barret getting his own game would scare me. And scar me. No, please no. A cameo in one of the games coming out is plenty for him.

Seriously.... I'd be as likely to go for a game starring Barret as I would one for... Heidegger. Or Scarlet. xd It's just something I'm not interested in. The same goes for one based on Tifa alone, for that matter. Or any other characters. *Shrugs*

Seriously. Barret??? Does anyone ELSE see how amazingly freakish that would be? And Tifa? Two words: Too. Weird. Way to weird. And as for having to many sequals and prequals...FFVII is so awesome, they could make ten more of them, and I'd STILL get them.
