I don't have a name for my flute, mostly because I can't decide. If I had to pick the gender though I guess it'd be feminine.

My old alto sax was Dan, my new one is Luke; my old trumpet was Dayton; my old bass was Stanton; and my clarinet is Reginald, Reggie for short. XD Oh, and my guitar is Lyla.

gold trumpet - ZenRyu the Old; the finish is peeling and one of the valves always sticks. I blame the people I let borrow the thing...and myself for letting them borrow it. Haven't touched it since June.
the school's trumpet - Bob; right when I opened the case and got acquainted with it, it told me it's name was too complicated for the human tongue, but it would settle for Bob. (don't ask. It's a trumpet thing)
the school's violin - Vladin, Varr, and Reese; sounded cool at the time. Then again, that was last year, and I was way wierder then, so...yeah. (Btw, Varr is the bow, Reese is (my) rosin)
the school's bass drum(s) - Big, Fish, and Drums; I rarely play bass drums, since Im not in the section. When I do get the chance, I usually play on Fish(second biggest) or Drums(smallest)

I referr to my Clarinet as "my baby"
I'm considering a name for my flute ... But technically it's my mom's from when she was little ... So I don't know if I should give it one ... crying

princess_86 my Tenor Sax is Narcissus my Alto is Achilies/my baby - my friend Julia named it for me cause when one little minute thing goes wrong the whole thing is boned. my 2nd alto for when i need to fix achilies is Herculese .. cause it saves my day ... alot i haven't named my flute or clarinet yet... and my friend Julia plays Bari Sax - Hades/The Beast - He stole persephonie away to the bowels of hell. Clarinet - Persephonie - she had her before she learned the bari

I named my oboe Awake. Of course, I wouldn't just randomly name an oboe that; there's a story behind it.
It was this past year at band camp. We ended up having it at a boarding high school (i.e., The students live there). Anyway, it was about the third day, and I was on my way to the pool with some friends during our break. Then, all of a sudden, one of the students at the school came bursting out the dorms yelling about how all of the band members were too loud and how those "annoying oboes" wouldn't shut up. So. on the last day, the other oboist and I stood outside the dorms and started trilling at about 6 AM to wake everyone up. Obnoxious, I know, but it was actually quite funny at the time.
