Listen, everyone...
Recently, there have been a TON of problems regarding chain letters with me, and now, I see that a member of our guild has decided to leave because of this. It truly saddens me. From a perfectly personal standpoint, I have put a hell of a lot into this guild; into making it work; into making it active (though I know I haven't been so active lately... sorry, everyone, that'll change, at least til i leave); into making it fun for everyone, among other things. The fact is, recently things have obviously not gone the way I (or I think many of you) would have liked.
I had sent out a warning AGAINST chain letters to everyone on my friend list, and yet I still received them, including from certain people in this guild. In my warning, I stated that anyone who sent me one would immediately be put on ignore and reported. I stuck to this. It's not my fault that certain people didn't listen. Yes, I'm referring to God_Dude, who, as I saw, would still like to be an active member despite not having access to my threads. I stand by my decision to put him on ignore, as I have with everyone else that has sent me a chain letter. I don't care who or what you are, that's the point.
The point here is, NO CHAIN LETTER SHOULD EVER BE SENT. Period. Not only do they disrupt and disturb those that they are sent to, but they are blatantly AGAINST the Gaia Terms of Service. The fact that people continue to send them knowing this infuriates me. Or maybe they just didn't read (or even SKIM) the ToS, which pisses me off just as much.
Now, I'm not Captain of this guild, Simple is. So the last word on this ultimately comes to him, and the resolution (or, hopefully NOT, lack there of), is up to him. But this entire situation, this issue, which never should have arisen in the FIRST PLACE, has me more upset than I'm able to express. This simply never should have happened.
Alright, I'm rambling on at this point. Anyone who wants to add their two cents to this may do so. I'm sorry that this even happened, and I hope that we can come to a resolution soon that will satisfy everyone, and hopefully bring back our lost member.
