Yes, I've seen the previews for that. It looks semi-realistic. Not bumbling pig beasts.

Its (Freeborn) not though.

Its fan influenced. Many of the fans are therianthropes. The director and producers know about therianthropy and real life shifters and ask for the help of fans and such on their webforum. So it goes toward a more realistic approach which is more human (drama) than action or horror.

It is definately a step forward from any other werewolf movie out there.


As for Blood and Chocolate.
That book has been out for a while before Underworld was even thought up.
Its copywrited 1997.
But I'm sure since the producers are the ones who made Underworld, they gave the similar affect. Except with more realistic weres (thank the gods) and a more human drama. Which is good to get away from the "ravaging killer pig-beast werewolves" of yester-year.
