Christmas is just around the corner and to get into the holiday spirit, I suggest we have a Secret Santa this year.
We'd have a set price range (suggestions for this are welcome) to make sure everyone receives something that's worth the same as what they give.
If you think you'd like to participate, please post saying so. If there seems to be a lot of interest, then I'll edit with all the details. If no one's really up to it, then it won't go through 3nodding ------
Edit: Alright, this thing is definitely going to happen then 3nodding We just need to decide what the price range should be. Feedback on that would be nice *hinthint* How much would everyone want to spend?
Anyone who wants to participate should post before Friday, December 15th. Okidoki? whee
Oh and if you haven't done so already, head on over to the Wishlist Sticky so people know what you might want!
------ Edited again: Okay, so we're going to do two levels 3nodding
Level one (the... Reindeer Level!) gifts ranging in price from 1-3k. Level two (the Santa's Helpers Level!) gifts ranging in price from 3-5k.
You can give more than one items, as long as the total worth is within your level 3nodding
And I think the generating number thing would be time consuming (since everyone would have to post one more time, and if two people got the same number things could get messy...) so if no one has any objections, I'll pull random names out of a hat.

Hasel how does it works? sweatdrop Well, normally everyone's name is written down on a bunch of pieces of paper, and the papers are put in a hat. Then everyone pulls out one of the names and buys a present for that person.
Since we can't pull names out of a hat through the computer, each person who's participating would be assigned a number (that only I would know about) and then everyone would generate a random number on Gaia. Then I'll PM you telling you who you're buying a present for.

I think the price range should be kinda low... Not because people are cheap, but because with the holidays coming up, people are spending gold on presents for others, and with the new system, it is more difficult for people to earn gold, especially if they can't be on a lot.
As such, I was thinking the range could be something like 3K-5K. That will allow people to get a good gift without it being too expensive. Plus, that shouldn't put too much of a dent in people's gold supply. However, it is just a suggestion. mrgreen

I'll play too! I agree, the price range should be around 3k-5k. I really can't afford anything more because I don't have any more gold than that.

I think the price range should be a bit lower myself. Perhaps 1k-3k., perhaps? Just a suggestion mind you. Maybe more people would join in if they knew they could afford it?

1-3k would be a lot easier, since I would end up spending everything if it was in the 3-5k range.

thats exactly what I mean. It's the "thought of giving" afterall , not the gold amount. Perhaps we should make it an even number that most people can actually afford. I'd suggest 1k - 1.5k max. That was my first instinct anyway.
Wut u think Poly? This ish just a suggestion mind you 3nodding

If a few people want to do 1-3k and few want to do 3-5k, we could have levels.
If you sign up for level 1 (1-3k) you also receive something from someone who signed up for level 1, and if you sign up for level 2 (3-5k) you get something from someone who's also level 2.
A bit more complicated, but manageable as long as there's enough people for both...
