My favorite book is Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. It's about a man who is the son of two astronauts and was left on Mars to be raised by the Martians. He was rescued by another group of astronauts as an adult and brought back to Earth. He becomes a kind of cult leader, but with good intentions. Some people are put off because it's kind of long, but I'm always reading something, and so long books don't discourage me.
