THEORIES -I think they gave Flarn the G-virus. Like they did with Gino. -Flarn is Jack Frost -Flarn is a Zombie -06 is involved somehow. -Joined Flarn with his clone to make him one again. He is now a human/alien hybrid. -Maybe he was so near death, they turned him into the next Robocop/Inspector Gadget -Flarn was so near death that they had to do something drastic to have him survive (AKA, G-virus) -The aliens are angry with him about his relationship with Yuzi_k, so they feel as if he's not a good enough alien, so they wanted to make him a better one. (( AKA: Alien G-virus? =D )) -Has to do with the brainwashing theory -The Aliens are punishing him because he fell for a gaian so they are turning him into a gaian so that he must suffer not being a zurg... -Or he himself has found a way to become gaian and is changing because he does not like his family's zurgen ways. And is inlove with a gaian -The Mothership is plotting a conspiricy against the Gaians and wants to use the most powerful beigns on Gaia to do it. She's using 02 without him knowing to keep the trust of a few gaians. [Britt] Ahem. Since the attack of 11 and 06.. the only way to save Flarn (as mother says) to turn him half human and half zurg.. there is something about the G-Virus being used as well I think Mother had Gambino's help. And he has a new model of the ship since his old one was all broken and stuff. Flarn's memory is gone.. and Mother put 06 in charge of him to help remember things.. that when 06 was angryangry... she told him that 11 shot him down and I think told him of DARKNRGY which is forbidden by Moof. But Flarn is feeding of this DARKNRGY... he is going crazy.. and is after 11.. it plans to over-take mother. ALL HAIL BRITT, SUPPLIER OF KNOWLEDGE! Dirk Bolero Here is thingy of something! And hurray to [Britt] for being so close. It DOES involve the G-Virus (as said by Mother). Now, what is this "destiny" that 09 spoke of while in charge of the Zurg Hive? Why, is it not bearing of a resemblance to... THE BARTON CLIFFS EVENT!? In which LabTechX injected Gino with a mysterious liquid, assumed by many to be another dose of the G-Virus, speaking of Gino's "true nature" all the while? And while LabTechX is involved with this current event, there is no data as to how. All that is known is that the April Fools event located at scenic Barton Cliffs was what brought the aliens here. When asked, UFOs replied with "no comment" instead of absolute denial of his involvement. THIS MEANS... SOMETHING. I don't know. You lot put it together. I'm tired. I think I'll go get some cider. o 3o ... And now you know~ x3 Catzandbirdz Warning: Veeeeerrrrrrryyyyyyy long post ahead. ^^;
I used to think the sniper was after anyone who might make Gino unhappy. For example, Gambino usually ignored him, the Von Helsons had kidnapped him (anyone else find it odd that Gambino's tower just happened to fall and only kills off his main opposition?), and Ian was after the same girl as him. Now I'm starting to wonder if it's not someone trying to stop Darknergy instead. Best way I can think of explaining this is to break it down, so here goes.
What happened: Before Gambino was shot, to say he wasn't getting along with the Von Helson twins would be an understatement. To top it off, they kidnapped and brainwashed his son Gino to where he didn't recognize his own father. Gambino got Gino back, but went mad with power. Even after Gino returned to his normal self at the end, think of what might've happened if the sniper hadn't appeared at that moment.
What could've happened: Gambino would have been happy to have his son back one moment, then probably furious and plotting revenge on the Von Helsons as payback. That would've sparked a second divide between the Gambino and Von Helson sisters, as well as who knows what kind of battle between the two forces. But the sniper appeared just at the time Gino and Gambino were happiest, shot Gambino before he could have a mood change, and the tower fell, landing on the twins' mansion and supposedly killing them both. This may leave a feeling of loss, but no feelings of hate since the rivals were all "dead."
What happened: For this next part, assume that Ian was indeed framed at Halloween 2k5 (I'm personally an Ian supporter, but I'm sure there's some that believe him guilty). It's still unknown as to who did it, but by then Gino had returned, was dating Sasha, and was becoming Ian's #1 rival in winning Sasha over (though why anyone would want to win her is beyond me rolleyes ). Ian knew something wasn't right with Gino (again, just assume this is the case if you think otherwise), and went to warn Sasha.
What could've happened: If someone hadn't gotten to the mansion before Ian and started the fire, Ian would've likely barged in on the dining pair. A big scene might've been caused between the men (how the heck did Gino age so fast?), with Ian trying to show proof of something wrong with Gino, and Gino likely trying to stop him. No telling what that might led to, between a man consumed with jealousy and a man with superhuman strength (which Ian probably didn't know about at that point). Ian could've been killed, but before Ian could arrive the fire had started, and there was a moment of silent agreement between him and Gino: protect Sasha. Again, there were feelings of loss, but not hate. One little problem though: Gino survived.
What happened: Whoever framed Ian at the fire was successful, and the shopkeeper was put on trial for arson. When the vote put Ian's side in favor and Ian was released, he was promptly shot on the courthouse steps by the sniper. This time, however, the sniper either misaimed or only meant to injure Ian, because Ian was hospitalized and survived. Whatever the sniper's intentions, the event led Sasha to show at least some of her feelings for Ian at the hospital, unfortunately right as Gino happened to walk in (cliche soap opera scene, no? wink ).
What could've happened: While Gino hadn't completely testified against Ian at the trial, he hadn't exactly tried testifying for him, either. After Ian won his case and was released, he might've gone on to try explaining to Sasha what he had been wanting to warn her about. Again, this would risk a confrontation between him and Gino, and the hate that had originally been dodged would happen anyways. That might've even been the motive for the framing. The sniper could've already known that Gino would survive the fire, so he planted the evidence needed to frame and lock Ian away, preventing any dangerous dispute. But Ian instead won, and the only way to prevent the dispute now was to shoot Ian.
There's a lot of holes in the theory, though, and the only way I can think to explain the cause of the Ian shooting is a mistake or misjudgment on the sniper's part. If part 3 is true, why would the sniper shoot Ian instead of Gino? If he knew Gino could survive a gunshot and instead decided to shoot Ian, why make it so Ian would live? On the other hand, not allowing Gino to challenge Ian to a duel might've led to Gino never spliting into himself and Gambino at the cliffs, which is the event that first attracted the Zurg to Gaia.
So now, my theory on what could happen next with Mr. Sniper: he'll target either a high profile Gaian, or one of the Zurg. This might sound obvious at first, but since when did Gaia plotlines follow the obvious route? ninja The Zurgs' arrival has sparked what was originally prevented in the murders of Gambino and the Von Helsons. Gaians have been divided between those who support the Zurg's intentions (or at least, think they do, considering no one knows the full intentions), those who are against the Zurg (again, those who largely only think they are), and those inbetween. And now Flarn/09 is collecting the generated Darknergy to boot. If the sniper's original intentions were to prevent such a thing from existing, it seems reasonable to think he'll make another appearance, possibly very soon. However, the sniper may have trouble deciding who to target, and any misjudgement could spell disaster between Gaians and the Zurg. If he targets Flarn, the Zurg may see it as Gaians trying to kill them, and start a battle. If he targets Mother, the same would definitely happen. Basically, targeting any of the Zurg could lead to an all out war. And what option does that leave?
Heck, beats me. At this rate, I'm half expecting the Von Helsons to make a return and be behind all this. lol They say history repeats itself, afterall, and it has yet to be explained just how exactly they brainwashed Gino back in 2005. Anyone else starting to see a connection between young Gino and Flarn's behavior?
@_@ And holy cripes, that got a lot longer than I originally intended! And there is more to it that I just thought of, but I don't want to comment on it until I find the images I need to support or break it (involves Von Helsons and the attempted kidnapping of Santa whee ). They changed his spaceship to accommodate his new form.

My theory? 06 is involved somehow. It's the only answer. He wants to hurt 02, so he took 09 from Mother, and changed him so we all hate him!
