Assignments
"Whether you work alone or as part of a team, you must always do your best to uphold your vow. Regardless of whether you wear the uniform at the moment or not, you are always on duty, always being judged according to our rules and standards. Make us proud. Bring honor to the uniform you wear and the code you serve."
Here are some assignments (some voluntary, some not) that are available to the knights. Doing these assignments will be of a benefit to you, so it'd be wise to volunteer for some on occasion.

Stat-Specific QuestsPhysical Strength Just One Round
On a rare day in which you are not patrolling the streets, you find yourself exercising with several other knights. Sometime during the afternoon, a practice boxing match breaks out. Several other knights participate, and eventually, a champion emerges. You are the last one to get into the match, and the champion offers up a challenge to you.
The champion is big... very big, as well as a veteran amongst the knights. Do you salvage your pride and fight, even knowing you are at a disadvantage? Or do you take the safe, cowardly route and keep yourself largely intact?
Value: 10 points Physical Defense Streetfight
"Yah think yer so great with yer fancy uuuuneeform 'n all, eh? Lessee how good ye are, then! C'mon 'n get us, fancypants!"
While out on patrol at night, you run across a particularly drunk and unruly group of teenage and adult males, of varying races. They all seem to be aggressive, and none of them are very bright, though all are rather large. They taunt you for awhile, following you as you continue on your patrol. After a bit, it becomes clear that the group of a dozen or so males are not going to leave.
Do you turn to address them? Taunting them back or using your authority would only provoke them to attack, and you're outnumbered quite badly. How are you going to diffuse this? Laying them all out cold?
Value: 10 points Magical Strength Teamwork
*This quest should be done by two or more RPers together.*
"Your wyrm bonded can use magic, right? Or yours can? We've got a rogue wyrm on the outskirts of the city, and it's impervious to anything we throw at it. We've tried diplomacy, we've tried brute force, and we've tried traps. It's too smart. We need magic!"
You and another knight, as well as your wyrms, are assigned to the protection of the city. A rogue wyrm of some sort, with physical bodily defenses like a fortress, has been raiding the city, getting into butchers' shops and marketstands. What element it is is unknown, but it is big, and it is bad.
Using the magic that your wyrm (or your new partners' wyrm) knows, you are to take down this wyrm, either defeating and capturing it or scaring it off. How are you going to do this, and how does your wyrm feel about this?
Value: 10 points Magical Defense Magical Bindings
How, exactly, you ended up in this position, you're not sure. One minute, you were investigating the use of spells of forgetfulness on merchants in the wealthier part of the city, and the next, you were in this windowless cell, with your hands bound by some sort of magical chains. You struggle, but it's of no use. The chains don't budge.
As you continue to think of a way to free yourself, the door to your cell opens, and a short, shadowy figure is standing there, silhouetted by the doorway. "Really, I wish you'd just have left this alone," it says in a surprisingly deep voice. "Now I'm going to have to wipe your mind clean."
Now you're in trouble. How are you going to escape?!
Value: 10 points Agility Distress Call
“Listen here kid, you’re faster than anyone left standing. So you run, you run like hell, and don’t you stop until you reach headquarters. Tell them what’s happening here. Good luck, kid. Don’t look back.”
You are a guard at a watch tower designed to give the city early warning of invaders, specifically of the late-night shift. One night, around the middle of your watch, a force of warriors appears from behind an invisibility spell cast by their mage and leader. The guards on duty don’t stand a chance against them, and neither does the city, if no one is warned. You have been laden with the task of getting word back to headquarters before it is too late, so that the rest of the knights can be gathered and sent to retaliate.
Are you spotted as your slip out of the watch tower and make for the city? If you make it to headquarters in one piece, will you go back to help your comrades, or be content with a message well delivered?
Value: 10 points Endurance Search and... Devour?
"Gods be damned, young'un! You find me something fried and with sugar on it, or, gods help me, I'll have you on foot patrol for a year! Do you hear me?! A YEAR!"
Everybody has a bad day, and your superior is having a particularly lousy one. Apparently, the man is suffering from a male hormonal surge, and the fat idiot is craving something sweet. But sweetness was not enough for the man. A fried food with sugar will be necessary to appease him.
While fuming about your desk-riding superior, you head out for the market, searching for whatever elusive food may fulfill the requirements your supervisor has set forth for you. How are you going to manage this?

Experience QuestsQuote: A Day in the Life
"Face it, kid: newbies get the lousy assignments. Just deal with it and keep your eyes open, y'hear?"
Like all new knights, you must undergo what the veterans laughingly refer to as 'hell on feet.' Really, it should be called 'hell on the feet', for this assignment requires you to do night patrol of one of the city's less than savory areas. Cheap bars, seedy taverns, and gods-only-knows how many brothels, pawnshops, smugglers' dens. Your task is to make sure that the law is upheld to the fullest extent possible. Thankfully, you have back-up, other knights on patrol in the same area. Unfortunately, the only way to summon them is by whistle. If you lose the whistle, you're in deep trouble.
It's a gentle autumn night, so hopefully tempers won't be so bad. You just have to hope that no one chooses to be difficult this evening...
