I love Angra. I think Temple of Shadows is hands down one of the best Power/Progressive albums, ever. Aurora Consurgens is a very good album as well. I'm really not a fan of anything before Rebirth. confused

Hmm... I've heard of them and even listened them (I think). But I'll need to do it over because I can't remember a single thing from them whee

My little brother is totally into Angra and Shaman. I, personally, don't really care for the newer Angra. I've only been listening to the old one with Matos still in the vocals and all that.

Back in those days Angra really stood out from the mass of bands but somehow these days there are too many similar bands already and I never got that spark again from them.

However, what they did in the past, especially on Holy Land, I like greatly! whee

weird... I believe everything that came before Temple of Shadows was much more progressive than what they are doing today.

Temple of Shadows has a much better sound and production than any of the previous albums, but still, I've always considered it Power Metal, not Prog.

I mean, Power Metal with progressive influences, but definately not Prog. Metal.

On the other hand, I've always considered everything before that album to be Prog Metal with Power Metal influences.

Have you heard Holy Land or Angel's Cry? Those are the best to my liking, from "old" Angra, and from the new lineup, Temple of Shadows is the best, hands down

Before Rebirth they had a different singer, if you cared. Angra is awesome, I don't have Temple of Shadows, is it worth it?
