Room 212-A is more related to a library than and actual classroom. Bookshelves line every free wall space, and every bookshelf is crammed with books, all of which look extremely old. At the front of the classroom is a large oak desk with a crystal sphere set on a carved dragon pedastal and a stack of papers. Directly behind the desk is a large sliding chalkboard with an foreigh script scrawled across every visable inch. On either side of the chalkboard are two large oak cabinets used for storage. In the middle of the classroom are five tables capable of seating two people, aranged two by two by one. Along the back wall of he classroom are large full length scrolls, some unrolled and pinned up, other rolled up and stacked in the corner. The windows look out from the second story and have a nice view ot the battle arena.

Koori shuffled through the classroom door with an armful of books and papers and made her way up to her desk. She plopped the things down on one side of her desk and sat down in the chair with a big sigh. Today was the first day of her teaching career, and she was nervous. She grab her sphere and began rolling it in her hands while she waited for her students to arrive. The crystal sphere began to glow a bright red, then blue, then green, then continued to cycle through every color of the rainbow over and over.

Kathlyn walked into the room with a sigh; she wasn't in her usual high spirits; although it was easy enough to figure out why. Magic was her weakest point. She couldn't use her magical powers to save her life! Literally in fact. Then again that was her whole reason for signing up for this class; to learn and get better, only she hadn't expected HIM to be here too.
Reitan walked in a short distance behind Kathlyn His head held high and giving a slight bow to the teacher before he found a seat. As Lord Kumoru he would of course pass this class easily. After all, he was royalty; and as such; he didn't get bad grades. Regardless of the fact that Reitan's power to control lightning was weakly pathetic at best, he was a prince and couldn't be failed.
Kathlyn sat in her chair praying for him to fail; to be kicked out. She didn't want to have to deal with the princely pain she'd grown up with for so long. Being royalty wouldn't save him here anyway.

Lyana walked in slowly, paying only attention to the teacher as she entered, "I haven't missed the lesson yet I hope." She asked in a sweetly soft voice. her hair fell in peices in front of her face and she looked like she should be freezing in her clothes. She wasn't shaking, but it WAS winter and she wasn't wearing much. The dark blue marks swirrled over her body where her skin wasn't covered, and it seemed like the marks were moving and glowing.

"Don't worry... Class hasn't started yet..." Koori set the crystal orb back on it's pedistal, which turned clear again, and shuffled through her pile of papers. She found what she was looking for and slid it out from the bottom of the stack. It was a class roster, and to her dismay, it was patheticly empty. She let out a sigh.
"Well... It looks like every one who signed up is here. Now, for starters, let's introduce ourselves. My name is Kiwadoi. You may call me Miss Kiwadoi, or Miss Ori for short. I have mastered all forms of magic, ranging from what's known as black magic to the elements. I will be your teacher for this class for the remainder of the term." She bowed her head a little the loked up at the student sitting nearest her.
"How about you start for us."

Lyana stood and spoke calmly, "My name is Lyana. I have most experience in the darker arts, and in fortune telling. I have a power known as The Sight, that allows me to perceive the future." As she said this her tarot cards floated out of her case and began circling around her. Her eyes flicking from card to card.
Reitan stood up next as Lyana sat down. "I am Lord Reitan Kumoru. The only prince from my kingdom and the heir to my families throne. My magical abilities are in the use and manipulation of electrical currants; mainly in those of lightning." He turned and bowed to Kathlyn as he sat, as though giving her leave to speak.
Kathlyn rolled her eyes at this and stood up nervously. "My name is Kathlyn. I've never really been very good with magic...although I can manipulate fire. To a point..." She said almost mumbling the last part as she sat down. The other two seemed far more confident; and although Lyana really looked talented Reitan was just being his usual a** of a boy.

"Thank you... Now, as you all should know, this class is about magic... You don't have to be great at it or even know how... That's why I'm here, to teach you all about it... Now, some form of magic resides in all living creatures. It comes in different types and strengths." Koori turned around and picked up her crystal orb again. It cycled through the rainbow of colors slowly.
"This orb here lets you know what your magical strengths are. Each color of the rainbow represents an element or type of magic. How brightly the color glows tells you how strong you are in that area of magic. The basics are as follows... Oh, and you might want to take note of this... Black is for black magic, dark magic, dark arts or shadow arts. Red is for fire magic or fire manipulation. Dark blue is for water magic or water manipulation. Light blue is for ice. Yellow is for lightning or electricity. Green is for plants or natural magic. Brown is for the earth. Grey is for the wind. White is for light magic, good magic, holy magic, and healing. Purple is for psychic powers." Koori spun the orb around in her hands the whole time she was talking.
"There and an unimaginable amount of combinations of colors, just like in nature, and an equally unimaginable amount of magical combinations and variations to match. First thing we are going to do today is find out what type of magic or power you posses. Can I have you come up here one at a time and hold the orb." Koori set the orb on its pedistal once more and sat down behind her desk.

Lyana came up first, because she was the closest. She walked up to the orb and placed her hand on the crystal, waiting for it to show it's colors.

The crystal flashed once, then glowed a blackish hue. Then is slowly faded into a bright purple, and back to black.
"Ok then! You have a decent amount of strength in the dark arts, and some strong psychic powers. Don't forget that... Next."

Lyana nodded and returned to her seat, watching Reitan as he moved.
Reitan got up and went up next as Lyana sat down. He placed one hand of the crystal and watched it as the purple colored died away.(btw reitan has a bit of black magic use and a bit of fire; sparked off his lightning. just so you know. )

((Thankies!))
The orb's colors died away, then it flashed again. This time it glowed a dim black, which faded into a light red, and lastly a barely visible yellow.
"Ok! You have some dark magic and fire magic, and just a hint of electricity control... You're going to need some work... Next..."

Reitan was a bit startled by this; but mearly removed his hand and returned to his seat perplexed.
Kathlyn stood up, nervous. She was amused by the teachers responce to Reitan; but still knew she wasn't good with magic; never was. She sighed and put her hand on the orb, watching it carfully.

The crystal flashed once more, then glowed a dim red.
"And you have a weak control over fire. You may sit down now."Koori returned the orb to its pedistal and faced the class again.
"Now don't worry. Your magical skill will be improved with time, maturity, and most importantly, practice. Most magic users don't have a strong power over any specific area. So they use a medium that magnifies their powers, such as a wand, staff, tome, crystal, or any other enchanted item. If you feel you need one of those for now, you may borrow one of mine." Koori walked over to the locker behind her desk and opened it. Inside was a wide variety of staffs, staves, wands, crystals and baubles.

Kathlyn returned to her seat with a light sigh. She'd seen that coming; sadly. She sat down and wondered about the magical items. She probably should get one..."Can anything be made into a magical medium?" She asked as she raised her hand, "like, could you make a bracelet work like one, or a necklace? something like that?"
Reitan wrote down quickly the things she said; and paused, also wanting to hear the teachers answer. Feeling he also might need something to enhance his powers...just for now of course.

"Well... Almost anything... It depends on what what type of enchantment you want and what the item is. Some items are neutral, and can do about anything. Some items absorb magic or are semi magical to begin with, and are excellent magical conductors. Other items reject magic, and would be better suited as some form of defense against magic. If you have an item you would like to use, I can take a look at it and see if it will work. I know all the basic magical enchantments."
