Does it cause problems for any of you?

It's been causing problems for me, that's for sure. We're both extremely stubborn when it comes to arguing, and it's resulted in me getting kicked out, and him refusing to let me come home. Now I'm homeless and broke. And he took all the money from my other account so I can't even get a place of my own.

Can anyone relate?

I have no bipolar parents, just a neurotic mother, (I think she's a Borderline Personality)and my husband is bipolar as well as schizophrenic. He gets REALLY manic when he runs out of meds, and he can't seem to tell himself when he's manic, yet I can tell when I'm manic. Maybe he thinks it doesn't show or something- but it really does. xd

Well, it was a few months ago when I first started this thread... and now I'm kicked out AGAIN.

Pretty good story with my dad this time, too. When he kicked me out, he called me and he was yelling and all that. Then a few days later, he left a message on my phone saying he's so proud of me and I can come home if things don't work out. I'm living with my boyfriend. Thing is, I don't know why he's proud of me, because in the last year since I graduated, I haven't done a thing with my life and I haven't had a job for a couple months now. Oh, dad.

The thing that sucks is there are no parenting books on being bipolar and raiseing kids but there are plenty of parenting books on how to raise kids who are bipolar. I found out I was bipolar after I had kids they're still young but I have accepted that I'm going to make mistakes and that they will probuably have to go into counseling to get through some things. But when I'm going manic or spiraling into major depression I let them know that mommy is sick and that I love them. And I get them over to a safe place so that they dont have to see me like that. My dad just found out that he is bipolar also, but he left my mom and us six kids so I just knew that he was a drugy.

Bipolar parent was the reason for my alleged PTSD.

Screaming, raging fights that would result in her leaving for hours and everyone in my family angry at me.
