A place to discuss what YOUR OPINION of drugs is. Make sure to back up your opinion with information. You can take from another source, such as something a friend said about drugs, just make sure to tell us if you agree with them completly. And if you don't, tell us why!
You can also tell us if you don't agree with the use of certain drugs, but you think its OKAY to do some drugs such as cigarettes, alcohol, marijuana, ect.
And please DON'T say things like ' OMG-ISH, DRUGS SUCK, DON'T DO THEM, THEY ARE BAD FOR YOU'

Hmm.
I don't do drugs and I don't plan on doing them.
I don't care if others are doing them, as long as they know what they are getting into.
I would request them to not do them in front of me.

I would request them to not do them in front of me. Those are all very sensible. ^-^ I especially agree with the second one. People really have to know what they are getting into BEFORE they start a certain drug. They need a SOBER opinion and understanding of the dangers. And it should be a educated disicion if they decide to start. heart

I have never tried drugs in my life- nor do I intend to do so. I'm not afraid to wear my one shirt to school that says 'Only dopes smoke dope'. Muaha.
Reasons:
* Short term memory and learning problems
* Distorted perceptions (sight, sound, time, touch)
* Loss of coordination
* Increased heart rate
* It just makes you look stupid
* Makes your clothes/ everything you touch smell rank
* Increased susceptibility to lung infections.
Some of these side effects are minimal, but regardless of that, why would anyone want to do it? I can have fun without getting high.

To add to Lemur, some drugs affects sexual performance and reproduction. Who wants that.

How can I support something that has no beneficial purposes? Sure, getting high and drunk is a good stress reliever, and smoking makes people go yay, but look at the negative consequences--cancer, brain cell loss, et cetera.
It would be like letting a guilty man who commited triple homocide out of prison just because he helped some old woman cross the road. Logical? I think not.

Most recreational activities and other non-legal substances don't function for anything else as well. Like caffeine.
People who get into state altering substances should be well aware of what they're getting into and the people who don't, well, I could care real less about them.

Ummm drugs, yeah i dont like them because they make u feel good, but at a big price. The price of ur mind. So i dont do them
As for alcohol, i am alergic to it. i break out in hives when i drink the stuff, but i dont care i dont like it anyways so it all works out
Ciggarets, i hate the damn things, i have lived with them my whole life and i dont like them.
caffen(sp?) gives me a huge headache so i dont really drink or consume much of that

First of all, I just would love to know how the heck all of this stuff was thought up. I mean, come on, what did these people have to do to figure out how to get these things to work....
Secondly, smoking is one of the biggest things that gets on my nerves. I mean, seriously, there are warnings EVERYwhere. Ignorance is no longer an excuse. I still don't see why people continue it. They know it will kill them, and they sure as heck should know it kills those around them. I still don't understand why they continue to do it.....
As for alcohol, I hate the smell of it. I have never tasted it either. I highly doubt that I ever will.
So...uh...yeah.... neutral

My thoughts on the subject pretty much concur with everything else that has been said, I don't do them, never will, and have no respect whatsoever for anyone that does use drugs. I don't think I can name many things that are more pathetic than a drug addict...

Well, I really disapprove of taking drugs - the harder the drugs, the more I disapprove wink
However, I guess it is everyone's own choice to some extend. That's like I don't mind someone smoking cigarettes, but once they start constantly blowing the smoke into my face I get uncomfy.
And as for alcohol... well, my father drank to much - though I hardly ever saw him "drunk" in that sense, he definite ruined his life with it, and my families as well confused

Well, I don't believe anybody should take drugs, unless they are necessary to cure a disease or something. Even then, that could be a little risky in the first place, since a lot of pain pills are so highly addicting. People should just take care of themselves in the first place, then they won't need drugs anyway.
As for illegal drugs, that is a big no, because is makes you okay with being bored and having your life pass by you before you even realize it. Nothing good ever comes from drug addiction.

I can picture the first druggie "Hmmm. This odd canibus plant looks interesting, I wonder what will happen if I smoke it." But seriously. I have done marijuana, a couple times, and probably will again if the right situation rises. I did my reasearch before hand, unlike most people, and I did it anyways. I haven't tried any more serious drug, nor will I without finding out a bit more before hand. Still, the reason people do drugs is for fun, and with the right company, it's sweet.
