Bastet strolled out along side a small stream, idly searching for some prey to catch and eat. It was a fairly nice day out; the sun was shining and the rain clouds she hated were nowhere in sight. In her opinion, it could have been a little warmer though.
Further ahead, she spotted a slight rustling from the bushes. Thinking that it could possibly be a rabbit, she slowly crept towards it. Even if a creature darted out, there most likely wouldn't be too much difficulty in chasing it down.
Nothing a well-shot fireball can't handle at the least.

It was winter a thick sheet of snow covered the ground, ah the months the lord of winter did enjoy the most summer was far to hot for his tastes and he truly disliked it. he lay by the thin ice covered stream icicles hung from his jaw and decorated his light blue hide. Although it was an oddly warm day for the winter Stribog Snorted and blew a cold wind to cool him off. He layed in the white snow... the snow glistening was shaded a beautiful light blue.
Stribog had his long wings closed and his tail flicked out lazily he was quite content on this day even though it was above his preffered temature. he tossed his head to the clear blue sky the sky was always more beautiful on a winter's day.
Stribog although the air seemed to get warmer when the other wyrm approached he snorted must be a fire wyrm. he thought to himself with a flick of his tail he broke a section of ice on the streem and plunged his claws in spearing a fish with his long claws he pulled it out of the cold water and layed it before him and began to eat, most animals were in hibernation at this time.

Due to the heat that radiated from her feet, the snow melted around her with each step she took. As Bastet stalked up towards the bush, she heard a fairly loud crash coming from ahead. Distracted by this, she stood up straight and looked about to see what that was. And the next thing she new was that a lean white hare had darted out from the shrub and off into the distance.
Sighing, she grumbled a little to herself. The wyrm that embodied Summer's Heat didn't care for fish all that much, which left her few options in the winter.
Slightly frustrated with this, she proceeded forward, hoping to find something else along the way. And there was something further ahead; the source of the crashing ice to be more exact.
Seeing the dark, ice-blue wyrm feasting upon a fish, she shook her head and stepped forth.
"Thanks for scaring off my prey," she said rather flatly.

Stribog stared at her uncaring "So?" he said between bites of the cold fish. Eatting anything it was best cold. "And what do you want?" he asked flatly " A little out of your element" he said as a cold wind blew around him. he currled his spiked tail back around him finishing the fish. He stood finally infront of the weather wyrm it was his season ans he was in his prime and was at the peak of his powers. he staired at her with cold eyes.
He saw the rabbit hiding near by "You prey is that way if you so desire warm meat..."

Despite the fact that the season wasn't favorable towards Bastet, she still stood tall. Glancing to the side as the Winter wyrm spoke again, she saw the rabbit once more.
"Hm. Well then thank you for pointing it out. Don't let your cold meal give you brain freeze."
That said, she moved away, creeping towards the rabbit once again. Once she was close enough, she lunged out at it and pinned it down with her claws. Bastet finished it off swiftly, then settled down to eat. Before she actually started, though, she breathed out a small steady stream of flames to char the meat.
Unlike the dark wyrm behind her, she preferred her food to be hot.
"I suppose you're just loving the weather now, hm?"

"Thank you for your Concern." he said as she whent after her prey, he watched then yawned, hot food was far too irritating. Stribog caught a glimpse of another fish and quickly speared it with his pointed tail, "Don't let your hot foood give you heart burn" he replied as she ate then began to wat his own food.
He turned his head to her once more "Indeed I am, but I belive it is your doing that it's not as cool a usual out at this moment" he said irritably his foreclaws covered in cool snow even though it was slightly melted.

After taking in a few bites of her food, Bastet glanced back at the other Wyrm momentarily before looking about at the somewhat frozen landscape around.
"Still not cold enough for you? It's a wonder as to how you can deal with freezing temperatures, but to each their own."
She paused to take a few more bites from the charred rabbit.
"So are you asking me to weaken my influence on the temperature?"

"I am Stribog lady of summer's heat, I am Wyrm of the winter," he said making clear why he could stand such tempatures. He finished his fish and flicked hos long snake like tounge. "Either that or I may strengthen my hold on the current weather." He gave her a sly smile flexing his two wings he laied himself back in the snow and noted the snow around the fire wyrm's feew was still melting and snorted.
"You fire wyrms don't appreciate with glory of the winter always making it far too warm." Stribog's tounge flicked again.

"Heh. I suppose I can tone it down a bit. But I'm going to have to work a little harder during the summer, when it's due," she replied with a grin of her own.
Bastet finished the remains of the hare she had caught moment ago, leaving nothing but its bones on the ground. She then turned herself, so that she wouldn't have to keep on glancing over her back just to look and speak with the other.
"And that's fire for you. No matter how it's made, it will always provide heat and warmth. That's something no one can really change. And winter has always seemed so drab to me. All the trees are bare, and there's hardly any creatures about. Everything just appears more plain and colorless.."

Stribog Smirked "The winter offers many things, Silence and a glorious landscape covered in white ice, the shaows of the snow are blue and everything glitters, it's like a frozen desert nad beautiful at that unless you are too blind to see the beauty there." he countered her comment about winter being dreary
"And thank you Lady," he felt the cold creep back in he then added "what is your name may I ask Lady of the summer's heat."

Taking in Stribog's words, she thought about it for a moment. For her, some silence was almost always welcomed. Perhaps there was something good about winter afterall.
"I am Bastet, Lord Stribog."
Feeling the air chill around her, she shifted slightly, not exactly liking the cold all too much. But she would go by her word and refrain from heating up the environment much until it was time.

He smiled glad she was atleast pondering about it, winter was one of the most beautiful times of the year, it seemed as though everything was frozen in time everything shone beautifuly, it was amazing how most hated winter for the cold and had ignorance to everything else about the outside world. It was insulting.
"A pleasure Baset" he bowed his head respectfuly although his voice seemed cold he was still polite. Stribog payed no attention to the cold wind in the least.
Although he had been around in summer and had tried to see the beauty in it, he found he could see only some. yet it was far to noisy for the solitary wyrm.

"A pleasure as well."
Bastet bowed her head in return before wrapping her tail around her body to help keep herself warm. As she laid on the ground, she glanced around once more, trying to see the beauty Stribog saw. It wasn't really working all that much, but at least she had tried.
The scenery was nice in its own way, she had to admit though.
"So what does the Lord of Winter do during the summer? When there's hardly anything cold around at all?"

"I go north." he replied cooly "Up to the mountains were it is still and always will be cold."
Stribog lay in the cool snow "What brings you out during the middle of winter I'd think you would be still south" he was intrested to see why she was out during this cold time for post. Stibogs power was the strongest in the middle of this season. Just like the moon his power waned and grew.

"I suppose you could say wanderlust made me come further north. Either way, if I had gone far enough south, I'd most likely find myself in a fairly similar situation anyway. Or perhaps I wanted a bit of a change from my usual schedule of 'migrating' south for the winter."
To some extent, it was a bit of both reasons, she felt. While consistencies were nice, a bit of spontaneity was needed every now and then. There was no strong, real reason as to why Bastet remained around here during this time of the year, but in a way, she just felt somewhat compelled to break her seasonly routine for once.
"I don't suppose one such as yourself will be attempting such a thing anytime soon."
