Bleach- The RP

About Bleach:

Bleach follows the life of Ichigo Kurosaki, a 15-year-old high school student with the ability to see ghosts, and a shinigami (Soul Reaper or, literally, "death god") named Rukia Kuchiki, who runs into him one day while searching for a hollow (an evil spirit). During the ensuing confrontation with the spirit, she is wounded and forced to transfer virtually all of her powers into Ichigo. Thus the adventures of Ichigo and Rukia begin. Together they search for hollows and perform soul burials on wayward souls, cleansing the spirits and sending them to Soul Society.

1. All of the basic rules apply, but I may say some of them anyways
2. Please keep it pg 13, killing is alright but make sure the other person wants you to kill them or doesn't mind you killing them.

6. Please stay in character. If you want to take an actaul character in Bleach, please at least get to know their personality Ie: if you make Hanatarou jump up and down and draw his soul slayer (sword) you don't know his character and he dowsn't even have a soul slayer.

Description of beings:

Human
Uh, well, your basic human, but have special powers such as Orihime's Shun Shun Rikka who are little winged beings (they aren't fairies like one of them said in an episode) or Sado's armor on his right arm. The humans of Bleach are much like the residents of modern Japan. Most humans cannot see or sense spirits in any way. However, souls can inhabit artificial human bodies that are visible to ordinary humans. One in 50,000 humans is a medium with some awareness of nearby ghosts, but only a third of these are able to perceive ghosts well enough to hold conversations. Some humans naturally have both the power to sense and the strength to fight with spirits. Other humans can gain the ability to do so by spending time around a large source of spirit energy.

Shinigami (death god/ Soul reaper)

Shinigami serve as psychopomps, sending the souls of ordinary ghosts, called "Pluses," to Soul Society, and purifying the souls of bad ghosts, called "hollows", then sending them to the afterlife warranted by their deeds in life (Soul Society or Hell). They are dressed in black, traditional-looking Japanese clothing and their tool of the trade is a zanpakutō (Soul Slayer). They use four different styles of combat: swordsmanship, demon arts, hand-to-hand combat, and foot combat. Most shinigami were human souls that had separated from the body, though there are exceptions. They are organized into an 'army' divided into the Gotei 13 (13 Court Divisions), the Demon Arts corps, and the onmitsukidō (special forces), and serve as the rulers of Soul Society, residing in Seireitei (Court of Pure Souls). The ultimate authority over the shinigami are the Central 46 Chambers, the rulings of which are absolute.

Quincys

he Quincy are a fictional sect in the manga and anime series Bleach. Originally a mixture of survivors of hollow attacks and those who'd lost loved ones to hollows, the Quincy developed a variety of supernatural powers to hunt and kill hollows before they attacked humans (and to destroy those who already had), including the ability to control spiritual energy. The Quincy are nearly extinct due to extermination by the shinigami about 200 years before the main Bleach storyline.

Hollows

A hollow is a plus spirit (a good one) that has lost its heart, and is driven to devour others (both living and dead) to fill that void. Starting out as a standard human ghost, the transformation into a hollow warps the ghost into a uniquely monstrous form, though all hollows wear a vaguely skeletal mask and have an obvious hole in their bodies. Any Plus spirit that is not guided to Soul Society by a shinigami may eventually descend into a hollow. The process normally takes months or years as the Chain of Destiny slowly corrodes, reflecting the warping of the ghost's ties to the living world. However, the process may be accelerated under certain conditions (such as the attack of another hollow or through the use of certain spiritual powers). The hollows are the major antagonists of Bleach. They are evil ghosts who reside in Hueco Mundo but travel to the living world to feed on the souls of the living and dead alike. Like shinigami, hollows are made of spiritual matter, cannot be detected by ordinary humans, and use their internal spiritual power to fight. While most hollows can be overcome by the average shinigami, some can surpass a shinigami captain in strength. All hollows wear white masks, except for a few called arrancar that have been able to remove most of their masks and tap into the powers of the shinigami. Although they carry zanpakutō, the sword is used to modify the body of the arrancar itself. In this roleplay, you'd be under almost constant attack and you wouldn't be able to really make decisions. I don't think you should be a hollow unless you really know Bleach

Pluses (Good spirits)
Benign ghosts in Bleach are known as pluses (Wholes in the official English editions). A plus is the spirit of a person who has died. A chain, known as the Chain of Fate, protrudes from the chest and binds the plus to a location, object or person that they felt close to in life. The soul can move about freely if the chain is broken, but this also causes the chain to corrode. Normally, pluses are sent to Soul Society by shinigami in a ritual called soul burial before this corrosion becomes significant. However, if the Chain of Fate is corroded entirely before a soul burial can be performed, a hole will form in the chest of the soul where the chain was once anchored. Such souls are driven mad and become evil ghosts known as hollows. If the Chain of Fate is torn out deliberately, this also leads to spiritual degradation.

Squad meanings:
Usually you are put into a squad because of your morals, ethics and how you fight. Here are some references for choosing which squad to put your character in:

Squad 1:
The members of this squad are the messengers, passing on word via Hell Butterflies, or personally themselves. You are wise and intelligent, fighting to uphold the stability of Soul Society.

Squad 2:
Loyal and brave, fighting the enemies of Soul Society with a passion.

Squad 3:
Conniving and calculating, fighting for your captain and his selfish plans.

Squad 4:
Usually lacking in combat skills, squad four specialises in healing. They usually don't carry Zanpakutous but if they do, they usually can't hit the enemy without healing it in the process.

Squad 5:
You are a good friend, fighting to maintain chivalry in Soul Society.

Squad 6:
Reserved and collected, fighting to preserve your good reputation.

Squad 7:
Peaceful, fighting to keep the peace you love.

Squad 8:
Relaxed and unconcerned with working, fighting to party as often as possible.

Squad 9:
Honorable, fighting to uphold justice.

Squad 10:
Level-headed and calm, fighting to keep the masses calm during trouble.

Squad 11:
Bloodthirsty fighter, hating any wimps, fighting only to keep fighting.

Cold and fearful, fighting to continue learning and researching.

Caring and kind, fighting to keep kindness alive in a tension-filled world.
