I'm sure everyone does this. You hear the person singing...and you interpret them singing a certain word...only to find out from reading the lyrics that its actually something else! gonk
When I was listening to City of Delusion, there's that line that goes "Justify my reasons with your blame."
....I thought he was saying "with your blood." gonk
And my mind just got thrown by that one line thinking "Nooo! Why?? So violent! Ahhh!"
...then I looked up the lyrics and quit spazing out. sweatdrop
So tell me folks, what other lines in Muse songs have you heard differently?

Because of microcuts.net, I went through a whole period of singing 'space shields melting in the dead of night'. rolleyes Bloody interpreters and their lack of translation from Mattspeak.
gonk I've done it a few times, but that's the most recent I can remember...

Hm... I don't think I've ever really been singing wrong lyrics all the time, but I was completely baffled by Micro-cuts at first. I was at my cottage for a bit and didn't have the booklet with me and I had no idea what he was saying at all.
Oooo - for a while I thought that instead of, 'you can't stop it screaming out' in TiRO, I thought it was 'you can't shove it screaming out'. xd

erm I'm not sure what I thought it was, but in TiRO, I never knew he was saying, "Since ovulation" until now.

It's 'since ovulation'? eek I always heard/sang it as 'sense of elation'.

Maybe it's not and some lyrics site had it wrong?
Maybe we'll never know.

I've read the lyrics for just about every song on Absolution and OoS, and I swear I would have noticed something like that!
*listens to it several times*

Yeah; that 'sense of elation' thing has been an ongoing baffling thing for a long time.
Ooo I remember another. When I first listened to Muse, and heard bliss; I thought he was singing 'give me the bliss'. Most likely due to the song name, and that lots of people were making the same mistake xd
