Hmm...He brings up a good point. We want gaia to be better, but we must remember not to go overboard. We cannot expect anyone to be perfect. We must stick to our ideals. We have made clear that we do not want to attack newbs, our main target is noobs. This is mainly Beggers, massive spamers, these slave threads, and flammers themselves. It's not just ristricted to noobs, we are also targeting the established gaian that are inflating the prices.

It's not just ristricted to noobs, we are also targeting the established gaian that are inflating the prices. One thing that was mentioned though... TaiFengShin I believe you are not totally new to the bully complex. These people tend to move away from the real intellectuals because the latter are the type of people they can't beat. These members of the social middle class make for themselves a place in the society by picking on those they can beat, even in the dirtiest and most nonsensical ways they don't want to be the receiving end of. That way, they feel secure and complacent and euphoric to the extent of, "At least I'm better than someone!" They don't realize that without these wee little "noobs" to step on, they would be absolute nobodies in the society, even in a virtual society such as Gaia Online. You would see the same scenario in most other places like high school settings where they contend for "popularity." I'm beginning to wonder if this is what I've become, we've become. Although, your point about the prices is also true, we aren't all out to get n00bs and such.

I get it. Hmm...
Not sure how to say this.
I don't think we can really go after the noobs totally. My main goal is to deal with Scammers, hackers, and the slave threads. If I run into someone in the fourms that is using chatspeak I generally don't say anything to them. I think we need to narrow our scope to that only. Those that are actually a threaten and are a nucensce to gaia. We can't do anything about someone who type badly, thats their choice and we have to reconize that. We cannot look down on someone for that reason. But the vulgar slave threads have to stop. Yes it's mostly illiterate noobs that are doing them, but thats just coinsidance. Gaia is PG-13 and those threads are not most of the time.
So just remeber as long as we remain slightly restrained with our revolution, we will not become what we hate.
Sorry if that was confusing, I can't really type what I mean well. xd

Sorry if that was confusing, I can't really type what I mean well. xd I understand. The cycle would continually repeat itself without limitations. Sandwich Protector TaiFengShin What I mean to say is that, I believe that prior to your posting this thread, you already knew that those "noobkillers" are equivalent to real life bullies. However, it was not stressed out as to why "noobkillers" act the way they are, in the same way it is not stressed among the "noobkillers" why "noobs" act the way the "noobs" do. Not pointing this out will eventually lead some to become "bullykillers" ultimately repeating the same mistakes they tried to correct. Um, anyway, please excuse my manners. I'm becoming too idealistic again. This could just be a relapse of my recent migraine sweatdrop Ha. I understand where you're getting at. It's odd, isn't it? If everyone kept looking at what everyone else was doing, like this, then the cycle continues. But if we withdraw and do not associate, learn about, or listen to anyone, none could survive in the real world. Is this not ironic? Without each other, there are problems, but with each other, we create problems. Things that put that seed of deep thought into the wandering mind, they are awesome. razz

We're not snobs mearly because we don't wander around going "I'm better then you because I can spell." We're not better then anyone else on gaia, we're just trying to make it a better place by getting rid of scammers, hackers, etc.
If one of us does go around doing that I'll be the first one to kick them from the guild.

teh.. i'm guitly of a couple of things he mintioned xd i dun know, i guess it's how you look at it... neh... my brain hurts from debating some much..... personally i think that if you think the same as someone else, then disscuss it and don't impose yourselves on others. i like it that so many people have the same ideals as us, but if they don't thnk that way or feel offended by our ideals, the they should eaither leave us alone and go on with our lives... or raise an army of other people who think like them an tell us why we are wrong with quotes, esteamed points and opposing ideals. it's stupid to personally attack all the older gaian's saying that "you are snobs" i mean it's like when christans beat non-believers on the head with a bible, but they claim to be 'open minded' i'm rambling...

I've been debating so much irl and on gaia that it hurts to think straight. And you raise a good point.

The latest one? Justifying why I can label Zack De La Rocha (Lead singer of Rage Against The Machine) as a personal hero and do my hero project on him. I might have to post it in the spam section, it was a fun debate..
Anyways though, we're anything but snobs. We're not persecuting these people or anything, nor are we placing ourselves on a pedestal.

Anyways though, we're anything but snobs. We're not persecuting these people or anything, nor are we placing ourselves on a pedestal.agreed, but then again, to many people we are very snobby because we are hitting a pressue point on gaia. it's like my chiropractor said to me, "some times before you can feel better, you have to feel worse. only pain can bring true peace." he was really cool, and i agree with him. a lot of people have just been ignoreing the Gaia Problem because it's conveniate, it takes hard work and pain to actually prove that Gaia has one HUGE problem. if only i could use this kind of thinking in my high school....... then we could over through santa clause (that's what i call my new principle, he's fat, has crocked teeth, and has a white beard and hair. he looks like jolly old saint nick on a bad day) and get my school back to the way it was, the way it worked! i hate my new handbok.... they gave us a handout on what the dress code was for Prom! PROM!!! this is total BS!!!! ((sorry, i'm rambling again sweatdrop ))
