Many of us have power animals or guardian animals. Some of us know about them, some of us don't.
If you want to know more, please read on.
There may be an animal you have always loved and to which you have felt a special connection. If you are already drawn to a specific animal, you may have unconciously chosen your animal guide, or it may have chosen you. Think about the qualities in the creature which you may have already chosen. How can this animal teach you? What gifts of the animal would you like to emulate? If you don't feel a kinship with a certain animal, or you're just not sure, don't worry. Before you go to bed, take you Book of Shadows, dreamjournal, diary or even a plain notebook and write this incantation:
Guardians of the dream world, I call you to my side
Reveal my spirit animal, my protector and guide.
Show me the power, beauty and grace
In the radiant eyes of my guardian's face.
Use this incantation or your own words to lket the guardians of the dream world to know that you are ready to meet your spirit guide. Be patient: It might not happen the first night, so keep trying. Eventually, you wil have a dream in which your animal totem appears-and you might be suprised which animal shows up!
Once you find out which animal you belong with, you might wish to get a picture of it for your room, or maybe some jewelry or a T-shirt with the animal's image on it, to remind you of your special magickal relationship. Your animal can be called on to help you in the dream world or to give you strength in times of need.

I'll probably try it tonight. I do feel a kinship with wolves but I feel something for cats too. I have posters of both cats and wolves in my room.

hmm it seems very interesting, i think i may try this tonight. I'm not to sure what my animal may be. I've always been a lover of cats, (i used to have tons when we lived on the farm) but i've always loved butterflys.. hmm. hope this works 3nodding

I think ill try this... im new to everything, so i hope this works.. ive always loved giraffes (weird, i know) but now ive seen vague images of the peacock in my dreams... i hope this works ^.^

This really sounds interesting. I've always had a love for Black Bears and Dogs, but Im also a cat lover. So you can see the confusion I've got >.<
I think I'll try this tonight, and maybe my dreams wont be so scarey? eek

I'm defiantly going to try this tonight, I've always had a very strong connection towards the feline family however I'm starting to feel the same towards wolves.

I'm going to try this out tonight. I feel really connected with Dragons, along with Cats and Dogs. I have a poster, two necklaces, three t-shirts, and a ton of pics of dragons in my room. I've even made a few out of building materials and toy's like lego's when I was little. So I thinkit will go well. ^^

Just make sure that you are careful...I know someone that screwed things up pretty badly when he summoned his power animal.....it's a long story though...

Last night was a bit trippy for me, as I did what was instructed before bed, and I even wore my dragon necklace which I feel is a lucky charm for me. As I drifted off into sleep, I appeared in what looked like an eternal blackness. Soon, a moon formed in the sky ( Or where I thought the sky was) and I saw the light outlines of what looked to be a massive forest, all of the tree's dead and without leaves. As I walked on, I felt a heavy breathing down my back, and a looming presence. I turned and....well, this will be the best I can explain it. Well, what I saw was a golden-brownish dragon wolf mixed looking creature. It had a feminie tone to it's body, and I looked at she ( Yeah, a girl ), without fear as she said in a soothing, yet slightly defensive tone "Why is it you have called me here young one?" ( She calls me 'young one' , maybe she does not know my name. or because of age difference?) After that, I explained a bit why it was I summoned her, and we slowly began to converse like two freinds who had not seen each other in ages.
Soon, she began to sigh a lot and looked sort of sad as she said " Well, I ought to be leaving, you have your studies to worry about young one...." Of course, I protested, seeing as we only just made contact, and she nuzzled my side, then flew off into the blackness. Then, I felt a rushing feeling, as I heard the annoying and familiar sound of my alarm clock next to me, and sighed as I opened my eye's.
Well, there you go.....that's what happened to me last night. This morning, I felt a bit confident, more energetic, and a little odd. I caught myself walking up the stairs on my hands and feet like a wolf would. sweatdrop I did it without thinking twice....sort of strange.

Nay Kyrosues, that does not sound weird at all it sounds quite magnificent as was my experience and now you need to meditate and learn to at least be slightly close to your friend for she is not a servant to protect but the dearest friend you will ever know as well as find her name. My experience was shorter but no less thrilling for my friend is a young yet great Phoenix but I will not tell his name to you for I feel he would not like me to advertise his name. But in my dream I was flying over an endless lake and there was nothing but water around and I looked down and there I was with my friend, in my friend, one with him. We soared and laughed and joked we shared not words but thoughts and expressions. Meditate and you will see your friend promiss you this my fellow. That is all for now.
