Darkness and silence enveloped the desolate landscape, not a creature stirred in the dark for fear of falling into a dark abyss and never being able to find away out again… A solitary dark plum nequus with silver hair wandered this night unafraid of the empty darkness that would swallow most and they would fear, the purple colored silver haired bae embraced the darkness. Carefully picking his way through the valley even on this dark night he was able to see empty void eyes, did not know what fear was. Silver spider threads on the bae’s hide glinted even in the total darkness. Heavy clouds covered the sky and blocked all light that may have hoped to slither through.
Velg’larn stood on a ledge overlooking the valley; he saw many nequus huddled together as though fearing to get lost in the utter darkness the night held. If he held any emotion he would have laughed, but nay he just stared into the black with empty eyes.
A memory returned to him of a night just like this a long time ago before Storm had her sudden mutation and change into a seer. How he drove the golden mare off a ledge similar to this one in such fury she crashed into another nequus and broke his wing and she herself sustained injury when she hit the ground. That was one of the few good nights the nequus had, although a truly good night would be the day his brother died…
He longed for that more than anything the one emotion he did have now was a thirst for revenge against hos goodly brother, it had somehow resurfaced... his brother must be near. he snorted and turned from the ledge.

Storm wasn’t afraid of not being able to see. Her vision had plummeted since the seerdom. What was once a perfect and envied ability was now cast down with shame. Instead of having the eyes and scope of an eagle, she could only make out the basics of shapes, but it was enough. Perhaps someday she would steal sight away from another. For now, when she wasn’t afraid of losing herself completely, she saw through other’s eyes. She blew wind softly through her nostrils, following with a deep inhalation. The night air was stale, boding of ill.
None the less, she was still in the mood for games, and a certain whisper, no, a roar, was coming from directions not so far from here. In past it would have been overwhelmed by a flurry of emotions, but she had learned to keep the others thoughts tied down somewhat – she could at least put in a thought before being overridden. The small creatures will little minds had all but vanished from her mind. They were little more than a slight annoyance, if they appeared at all.
A smirk slid across her face. Velg’larn. He did not now of her stretching abilities, they had emerged greater now. A few images here and there could be sent, and the majority of unwanted material kept out. She couldn’t drive away his mind, she found, it was far too strong to harness. It would have to be to keep down such great emotions that had to have been lying just below that surface. She needed to aggravate him, poke with her own mind as well as his own. Use his own defense against him, and see how he reacted. She wasn’t quite ready for that yet. There was still too much to master.
She slunk forwards, head low, eyes focused on the terrain ahead. She kept her footfalls slight, making hardly a sound as they slid effortlessly across the grass. Only those of the best hearing, the blind, would know she had come slinking up behind them. Besides, Velg’larn appeared to be off daydreaming. Something about a brother. . .
She hardly gave it a second thought, she was trying to keep his thoughts out while she moved, any distraction and the whole plan would fall apart. As she neared she controlled her breathing, keeping her body tense so she wouldn’t make a sound. Just a little bit closer.
She stopped silently, deeming this spot appropriate, right behind the stallions left shoulder. “A brother, eh?” she whispered, her voice nearly silenced by the air. Most Nequus would have fled upon hearing it, for it was so thick with acid and malice.

Velg'larn snorted as he turned to see the golden mare behind him, it would have frightened any normal nequus having another suddenly appear behind them. Velg’larn had heard her coming he turned his head to see the mare better he did truly disliked her, "And what brings you out on a night like this Lady?" he asked walking from her un phased by her sudden appearance behind him, "Yes I have a brother. And why would the lady care?" He said flatly although a hint of irritancy was in his usually emotionless voice.
“I see you have gained in strength Lady” he said “Since I last saw you,” he gave her an empty smile, He had to be careful what he thought around her he knew everyday she became more adept with her abilities as a seer. Least he had a trick or two to avoid her finding his true intentions, and that he would keep a secret.
"No doubt you came to prod my mind Lady" he stated bluntly "Aggravate me with your new powers..." He knew this mare quite well and how she worked He tossed his long silvery mane although it didn't glint as it would in the light, a cold wind blew by. He knew little about the seers but it was rumored they lost their eyesight as their powers grew.
“How is your sight m’lady?” Velg’larn asked.

Questions. So many questions. He did like to ask them, didn't he? But she got what she wanted, his voice change, that slight tweak of emotion so so loved to drag from his body. She'd kill him with it, spirit and all. Perhaps she'd find this brother of his, and kill him herself. Keep the pleasure from Velg. It was what the wretch deserved.
"If you say Lady one more time, I will personally rip your throat out," she said calmly. Velg'larn didn't anger her as he did before. He was now simply a toy to weave whatever way she wished, and she was winning the battle. "My strength was never changed, it was my mind that has so altered," she corrected him. A faint smile came to her lips, she almosed enjoyed his silly questions. She knew it was only an attempt to get under her skin. If he had any emotion at all she would have thought it was a young boy's tease to gain the hoof of a beautiful 'maiden'.
"On the contrary, love, I've come simply to see you." It was the complete truth, the thoughts of invoking her skills upon him were more of an afterthought. There wasn't enough things to fiddle with yet. There was simply no way for her to delve deep into his mind, she could only take what he gave her, for now.
"My sight?" She responded with a chuckle, raising a white brow against the dark sky. "Better than before." Storm, of course, was speaking of insight, which was wholly true. She saw the world through new eyes now, there were none that she couldn't take a glimpse through. She wondered for a moment how she'd look in Velg'larn's eyes, but an ethical sense came over her as well. If perhaps he was smart, he might never let her come back to herself, bombarding her with emotions until she was entrapped as him forever, becoming a part of him. The thought made her body shudder, she was still Storm, and that was how she wished to stay.
"But yours seems to be dwindling. Tell me," she began, weaving her words slowly and carefully, putting a hint of entrance in their cracks. "What is it, for fear that I might inquire of my own purposes, that you do not wish me to know?"

"I see you got what you wanted," he said blankly he knew she did cause he gave it to her "Fine go kill him, Go kill my brother." He Coaxed her, Velg'larn would be fine just as long as that Goodly thing died. By his hand or some one else's he didn't care. "And I am not your toy" Velg'larn then added. "But yet you are still enjoying this" he stated.
"What's wrong with calling you a 'lady'?" he asked "It is what you are afterall and I am just being polite" he gave another empty smile he knew she wouldn't get angried as easily anymore she had found self control "or would you rather I call you a beast?" he inquired.
"Ah so then the weak thing I encountered so long ago was just you having your mind changed?" he recalled how deformed she had been and all the cracking and poping of her bones and sheading of her feathers, and her screams. "Well you are welcome to stay as I leave" he said before turning from her again
"On the contrary indeed" Velg'larn began to walk away "My insight has not changed while you may not truly know yours, Your insight can never reach it's true potential" As he took another step "That would be my secret and I wont tell that to you, do you wish to see my mind and it's horrors? The things that lurk undergound in the fire mountains in their dark caves?"

She smiled avidly, yes she had gotten what she wanted, and he admitted to it. Perhaps she could grow to like him afterall. "I have not an idea where he is, or who he is!" she responded with a bitter laugh, throwing back her head and letting her white mane flow charmingly over her face, covering her golden eye and leaving the blue one exposed. "Yes. You have come to be very enjoyable my dear Velg."
There were several things wrong with lady. Mostly because of the fact it was polite. He was not a good natured kind of horse. "Have it whatever way pleases you." It was not a time for arguments, only for playing with the emotions of this beautiful darkness.
"Mind." There was a long pause as the wind picked up, flowing between her hooves and the veins in her wings. It was cool, and reassuring. "And soul." The last bit was only a whisper, the sensitive and loving Storm had come out just for a moment. Her eyes glazing over with sadness for the one before her. Too loose such emotion.
It was gone as quickly as it had come. "Velg," she spoke dryly. "Do not scare me with words woven over facts. The world is how it is, there is no need to pry into your mind." With a laugh she kicked lightly at his chest. It was playful, nothing more, and followed by the thundering of her hoofbeats as she streaked across D'ob in the dark night, daring him to follow.
"You are fear!" she shouted back at him. "The fear of emotion!" Her voice echoed as a ghost through the valley, amplified by the peaks stretching far above on either side.

"Look for the one who is kindest and full of vivid emotion. His mane and tail are blonde and is crème colored with green and brown,” He told her flatly and with distaste. "He's easy to find he always has a leaf necklace on." He explained to her “He’s quite easy to find.”
Something caught Velg'larn off guard, which didn't happen very often, as he was always quite uptight and wary of those around him. It was the sudden change in the golden mare. Softness had appeared something he hadn’t seen in all his time with Storm, he was beginning to thing the mare didn’t even have a soft spot in her. He watched as the wind played with her shortened mane. Sadness in her eyes came only briefly he had only a moment to ponder. For what? Me? Then it vanished as quickly as it appeared and she was back to her usual hard self.
Velg’larn listened then smirked “Least you have learned something in becoming a seer.” He replied just a dryly. He didn’t move when she gave him a playful kick, he listened to her hoof beats. “I’ll take your dare,” he whispered coldly under his breath. He still wasn’t sure what had just happened in front of him a few moments ago.
He galloped across D’ob catching up easily he knew the darkness well and was surprised how well she knew it now as well. She certainly had actually gained something from her transformation although he wouldn’t admit it. His mane and tail flew behind him like bloody silver banners in the wind.

If he was so easy to find, why had Velg'larn not yet killed him? The thought ran through her mind. She'd ask him someday. Tonight was not the time for such questions. Whatever the case, she'd rather him kill Attia and Brakrin first. They were the only Nequus she truly hated in the world. In comparison, Velg'larn was a saint. He'd never harmed the innocent as far as she could tell. For that, he earned at least a bit of his respect.
She hadn't been sure what he meant by 'at least you've learned something'. She felt, and acted, the same way as she had before the change. The only difference was she had more reason to trust than before. That alone could change her, but she did so love the heats of fire that rushed through her. She held a dominant nature, and she intented to keep others shivering in their pretty colored socks for as long as possible. Nevermind what that funny brown Nequus said. He was confused, and stupid. No one in their right mind could tackle the Casa Tiner.
She barely noticed as he came up beside her. Storm had counted on the fact that he would, despite her skills in the darkness, he still knew it better, merely for the fact he could see.
"Velg," she said, turning her face to look at him. "Do you think you could take me through . . . " She wasn't able to finish her sentence, for a sharp wave of pain shot through her head. She'd been holding a link to long with Velg, trying to gather surface thoughts, and his covering up in the mind caused and ache. She would never know what that thought was he so desperately kept from her.
"Ahh," she gasped, slowing to a walk and clutching her eyes closed. Just a few more seconds and it would be gone.
"Through Casa's woods?" she finished, shaking her head. There would be no reading his mind tonight.

Velg’larn took a step back as she turned to face him.
Velg’larn looked at her and smirked inwardly he knew she was trying to gather his thoughts he was disciplined to hide them. “Yes I can,” he raised his brow slyly and wondered what the mare was up to. “And why, may I ask would you want to go there?” last time he had been there with the mare he allowed her to run him into the forest it was the first time they had actually met and she had screamed at him that no one could ever traverse through that place. “Why the sudden reversal? Last I checked no one could do that.” Although he had done it before, not often he tried to avoid it.
“Perhaps it is to prove something?” he inquired
He was used to horrors that forest was no exception. He knew he had won this time with the mind games but tomorrow she would be rested and much keener. “If you truly wish it I will lead you through,” he wanted to see how Storm faired in such conditions he hadn’t seen the mare fight all that much, fight things within her mind since she was always on the offensive.
He tossed his long wavy mane and trotted ahead a few steps toward the forest and waited for her answer. Could she get by the illusions that were there? When he lost his emotions it made it harder for illusions like the one’s in Casa’s woods to grip his mind.

She wasn't sure why she wanted to traverse through that place. It was dark, eerie, and no where anyone would want to be. But somewhere within that mind there was the secret to the forest. It was a lesson that had to be learned, and she needed a guide. She had the first slice of the woods memorized, for the most part, but the trees played wonderful tricks in echoes and illusional sounds. Even on the outskirts one could still be trapped to weave about forever.
"No one," she affirmed. "But you." It was mostly true. She didn't believe he could go trapsing about the forest, going wherever he pleased, but he seemed to have a sense of direction that the forest distorted in others. No doubt he wasn't invinsible to the wonderous woods, no one was, but if anyone had a chance of making it through, it was him. She wanted to learn that skill. It would add to her already growing legend.
"I want you to teach me how to walk without senses." Storm spoke with utmost sincerity in her voice. Her attention was focused completely on him, watching his every move. Would he take her, and could he do it? Or would they be cursed to walk eternally in the forest and die of starvation? She shuddered at the thought, but she had already made up her mind.
"Alright," she said, dipping her head down and bringing her body directly beside his. She knew how thick the fog got, she'd have to keep ahold of him at all times. Despite how much she was repelled by the idea, she carefully picked up a stray lock of his long mane in her teeth. As long as she could feel the stringy substance in her mouth, she knew Velg was right there leading her. "Lead the way."

Velg’larn would have smiled inwardly if he could he had passed through the forest once or twice when he absolutely had to. He had ventured into the edge one the thick woods every now and then even then mist that had entered through his nostrils had tried to take hold of him mind and manipulate him they sent images into his mind, he was also used to going days without food or water which was also one of the things the forest tried to manipulate to confuse the poor souls that knew no better and had not the discipline to remain in the forest for long.
Velg’larn also knew some of the temporary safe areas at the end of the forests the large lakes… the True lakes not the ones that were created by the fog and the trees they were quite hard to get to at that. Velg’larn nodded “The illusions play upon emotions, hunger and thirst. One may see a wondrous waterfall and yearn to drink from it yet as soon as one strays from the path you will never find your way out again.” He paused it would be especially treacherous this night when the darkness was darkest.
“As you wish.” He allowed her to take his tail; indeed the fog would probably thicken and try to get her to stray if she held his tail at least she would know unless the illusions convinced her to let go, but he too would know for her constant tug on his silver tail. He turned his head and nodded as he began to walk forward toward the mountain forest.
As they neared slight mist was visible as though warning others to stay away. The great mountain hovered before the two nequus. Towering cliffs covered with slick ice sharp points spiraled upward. In front laid the test not of physical power but of mental discipline and restraint. The Casa’s forest the tree’s them selves tried to confuse any who entered the forest Thick trees at the base of the mountain dark leaves not a single beam of light could penetrate this forest in it’s thickest place. But up the mountain it seemed to thin in certain area’s.
Velg’larn even on this darkest night had to find the right path the one he entered through before. He snorted as he felt the mist weave its way into his being trying to confuse him. He felt it say this was the way in, yet he knew in his being it wasn’t, not yet anyway. He ignored it and he continued searching. Velg’larn closed his eyes; sight was going to be useless here for the most part. He reared up and kicked one of the trees testing its denseness and looking for hoof marks he had made on the tree a while before. He nosed the tree before finally finding the marks on his hooves. The tree hadn’t yet completely healed itself the denseness was correct as well. Velg’larn opened his eyes and saw the trees encompassed in thick fog. He judged the direction he had smacked the tree in the first time he entered.
The mountain and its forest were beautiful to see at a distance… but only at a distance anyone venturing closer would find out the true horrors of the mountain first hand, what other creatures lurked within the dark foggy forest. Velg'larn knew a few secrets of the forest but even they were hard to attain even for the strong emotionless bae. The wind didn't even breach the heart of the forest it was so dense. Before entering Velg'lanr looked back to storm to make sure she was ready. If Storm let go of his tail she would surely get lost and starve to death, the only edible food was by the lakes up higher were the forest thinned and it’s power wasn’t so great.

(( Holy shits and giggles. D: ::is pawned by Ice's post:: Its like our current Shaoilin RP, out of no where!!!
Just a note: There are no paths in the forest. Paths are created when things travel over the ground often. Nothing travels within the forest. There are no paths.
And she's so holding his mane, not his tail, but that really doesn't make much diffence.
Storm: I have his HAIR, OK!? >( ))
Storm new all this already. She'd heard it in legends, and experienced some of it herself, but never had she dared to venture into the woods. Storm was no fool, at least not in these matters, and she wouldn't fall to the calm pull of glory.
The pair moved forwards, one step at a time. She could feel the mist slowly encroaching upon her, slipping lightly over her golden back and tickling the feathers of her hocks. Other than that, she could make out near to nothing. Only white blanketed the air, and in time even that would turn black, for no light encroached deep into the forest. One could run into a tree, a hole, anything; and if the mist did thin, well, the illusions took over, weaving a different viel over passer's eyes.
She felt a lurch against her teeth as Velg'larn reared up, testing a tree. The sudden movement almost caused her to loose his mane, and a sudden wave of fear passed over her head, but she quickly dismissed it. His locks were still securely positioned on her tongue, and that's where they'd stay if she had any say about it.
Time passed slowly, as if there was no such thing as time at all. She felt her mind drifting, the claustrophobia seeping into her skull. She needed to get out - NOW! Her mind screamed to escape, and she found herself shifting her feet to compensate. She did her best to stay calm, taking comfort in Velg'larn's presence beside her. He was strange, this Velg'larn. Yet, she found she didn't mind him anymore. In fact, she kind of liked him. Despite their feuds, and his annoying lack of emotion, he had still lead her into this forest. Perhaps with the purpose to lead her to her death. She supposed it was her own fault if that occured. She had trust him, afterall, not the other way around.
Storm dared to open her eyes wider, trying to grasp the scenery and discern just where she was. She didn't like this eerie feeling of being permanately lost, and she found herself thinking she was alone, losing feeling of the strands upon her teeth. That's when the whispers started.
Storm. Valharah. . . Restir . . . They were barely audible, and certainly made no sense. Of no language she had ever known. It is just the wind, her mind repeated over and over again, hooves following Velg with a pattern on the ground. Then came one, louder than ever, and she recognized it. It was a deep voice, thick and homely, possesing great pride, yet kindness.
Storm! it beckoned to her, and her heart lept. She knew that voice! It had sung to her oh so long ago during her youth. Her pride and joy, a love stronger than any drew her to that sound. But he'd left, going to tackle the same fate that August had wished. Mapping, stealing through, and trying to master the woods. He was wholly convinced he was a mistweaver. But he had never returned.
"FATHER!" she screamed into the darkness. It was him! He was still alive. Fighting starvation all these years, just barely hanging on. She imagined him, with ribs sticking out and a hardened, worn, tired face. The thought made her heart thump deep in her chest. "Father where are you!?"
Storm? Is that you? I'm stuck, my foot; twisted. His voice sounded more airy, almost like the wind, but she decided that had to be fatigue. She shouted at him again, and not thinking, dropped the lock of hair and darted off through the mist. She could see nothing, anywhere, but she knew father was out here. And everything was going to be okay, like it once was.

(Eh sorry sweatdrop Alright mane then ignore the rest, he has a path in his own mind picked out is kinda what I ment sweatdrop I'll edit this when I get a post done))
“Calm down…” Velg’larn said flatly sensing her sudden fear, distress and anxiety. He knew it was her cause of her shifting weight when she did he felt a light tug on his mane. Even though usually every time they met they ended up with a dislike of each other at the end or one of them ended up hurt, this mare was one of the few he didn’t mind talking to every once in a while it was strange. For him at least to not mind speaking to another he usually always kept to himself. If he had wanted the mare dead he would have left her by now to let her wander eternally and die of starvation and thirst.
Thick fog swirled around them, Velg’larn constantly trying to bother him with trivial things only a nequus with emotion would run for immediately. Although… whisper in the fog did spark an emotion from him “Brother…Dear brother” it called Velg’larn just snorted angrily and took a step in a different direction… But he stopped and began to think Velg’larn remembered how he wanted more than anything to see his brother dead, but even if he was here which he seriously doubted cause his brother wasn’t that skilled always living in light rather than the darkness, it was impossible for his brother to even be here. And Storm tugging on his mane also reminded him why he was in this forest; he couldn’t afford to get distracted he was supposed to go through. His revenge would come latter, he turned back to the direction he was going and sensed an object obscuring their path.
Velg’larn wouldn’t get lost, he had been lost once not permanently though he had eventually found his way out, but it was horrid even for him and would not allow himself to get lost like that again. He felt storm’s anxiety once more “Calm down, and don’t listen.” he said with an empty voice then made a n** at her neck to remind her he was still here and she was still holding his mane although voices played in his mind too he was more adept at ignoring them he had been lost in darkness many times before in the caves underneath the fire mountains as well as when he was lost in this forest the first and last time the voices had nearly driven him insane luckily he had been able to salvage his sanity when he left the forest almost dead.
“STORM!” he yelled back in her golden ear but to no avail she wasn’t listening to him, she wasn’t listening at all. No one could survive in hear for more than a few days or weeks for him. “STORM!” he yelled again trying to get her attention she was speaking to the fog again. He bit her neck trying to snap her out of it but she had pulled away, he knew because his mane fell back against his side and he heard her hoof beats again. “It’s the illusions!” he yelled but she wasn’t listening yet again so full of emotion, longing, joy, and love. To him they were only just words with no real meaning at all.
Why should he care if she got lost and wandered aimlessly he snorted, she was stupid he had just warned her about how the illusions play upon peoples emotions and memories… He truly wondered if she ever did listen to ANYONE at all. But still… If he waited any longer he would lose her and she wouldn’t ever be able to find her way out. Why? Why did he care? He wasn’t supposed to… She was an irritable mare even to him who kept his emotions quite submerged. Emotions were useless they just cause trouble this was a prime example right here… Would he miss their Skirmishes? Miss? Wasn’t that part of an emotion? Were did it come from all of the sudden? He suddenly wondered. When had it surfaced? The distant hoof beats that kept getting farther and farther… brought him to awareness.
Velg’larn despite the fog and the dense wood followed with a quick gallop sensing the trees that were in his way. He blocked out all other noise in his mind and focused on the hoof beats perhaps the mist too took advantage of his but he didn’t care either way and would find out latter. He would rely on his sense of direction again latter if he couldn’t find Storm within a day. “Stupid mare” he uttered she would deffinatly get herself killed in here.

From behind her she could sense the faint calls of Velg'larn. He was calling for her, trying to keep her with him, but he didn't understand. This was her father! She'd find him at last! The thought brought a new onset of determination to her face, and she trudged forwards again. Velg's words became fainter, muffled by the fog as it beckoned her unwards. She was oblivious to its power and its malice. The days where everything was wholly good in the world came flooding back to her. She wished to be youthful again, free of the ties of stories others had heard of her, and free, most of all, of all the people she knew. What she wouldn't give to have feather's again! Just like her dad! She had been such a proud youth.
But as she searched, she could still find nothing. Storm! Hurry! She could hear his cries of pain now, and tears (for Nequus shed them) came flooding to her eyes. "Father, I'm coming!" Every word he muttered gave strength to her muscles. Every step she took her heart beat a little bit faster.
It hurts. . . The sound was dying out now. She was losing him. He was weak, cold, exposed to the elements, and probably starving. But she had no food for him. How was she to get him back? She shook her head, refusing to admit she wasn't prepared, she needed to be there for him. The fog became pitch black directly in front of her, and before she knew it her nose hit a tree. Recoiling, she doubled around the other direction, still following the illusions voice.
Storm!
The sound came from behind her. She had gone too far. Growling she whipped around to go the other direction.
Storm! It repeated, this time to her left. Before she could make another move, it was on her right, then above her, below her, everywhere at once. Her face gave way to horror and she could think of nothing but to flee. Her feet had other ideas. They remained firmly frozen upon the earth, refusing to give way no matter the protest of her mind. Finally she collapsed to the earth.
And something bit her sharply in the side. She rose, puzzled, still afraid, but curiousity would always get the better of her. Storm strained her eyes to see, and she could just barely make out the soft white form of calcified bone. She knew what they were. She had found him, though not in the way she had hoped, and she was too late. . .
The trees laughed around her, shaking the air along with the convulsions of her body. Dreams; shattered.
She barely heard the hoofbeats of Velg as he caught up to her. How he had ever managed to follow her, she did not know, but all she could retain was tears.
"I should have known," she whispered and closed her eyes, leaning against the resting place of her father, forming to the shape of his bones. And there, at the tip of her hoof, a small hole rested, a nice decomposing hoof jutting out slightly. The woods didn't lie afterall. . .

Velg’larn kept dodging trees, rocks and other objects that kept obscuring his path to the stupid mare, Storm was truly a stupid mare he had just told her NOT to listen and yet she had and ran off her father or not. No stallion could survive years in here unless it was a mistweaver. Mists swirled about only parting when there was air movement created by his hooves connecting with the ground but it filled the same place just as quickly so you would knever know the mist had actually moved. Velg’larn suddenly heard multiple hoof beats coming from every direction in his mind, he snorted blocking them all out with as much force as he could muster, by the time they got out Velg’larn knew he would be mentally exhausted and physically as well. He focused in on the one in front of him, it suddenly turned and so did he. He would have to keep up with her, he didn’t know how he was able to keep up with her but he could. Must be from all his years running in the dark as though he had been blind. He kept hearing her call out, the fog kept getting blacker although it didn’t phase him that much he was used to the darkness.
He slowed realizing the hoof beats had stopped, was he near? He wondered slowly he took steps forward and sensed another presence it was she. Velg’larn heard a sudden growl she must still be gripped by illusions. He heard something buckle and fall as he walked nearer he saw storm lying in bones. That must be her father or the remains of some arrogant brat that thought he could tackle the forest.
“I should have known” Storm whispered
Velg’larn heard her clearly “You should! Have known indeed,” he said standing In front of her. He saw her tears “I told you it plays upon emotions,” he reared on his back legs and smacked his hoof sharply against her cheek, not hard enough to actually hurt her but more like a wakeup call. She couldn’t get through the forest mentally broken down like this already, Velg’larn knew. “Stand up.” He looked down to the bones “You Stupid mare! If I hadn’t come find you that would be your fate,” Velg’larn said coldly motioning to the bones “just like him if it’s your father or not.” He added with a snort angrily. Why were mares so dumb? He then wondered privately if he should have just left her and allowed her to die it would have been lest strain on him.
Ahh Damn he thought to himself privately. The forest was starting to get to him, by slowly breaking down the barrier, which he kept all of his emotions hidden with. He calmed himself again trying to rebuild what had broken within his mind. He couldn’t remember the last time he was actually angry. Velg’larn closed his eyes after he had reserved himself and waited tying to gather his bearings he felt the slightest wind against his plum hide. Velg’larn then opened his black eyes “Were did that determination of yours go?” he asked her.
Velg’larn looked in the direction he felt they should go “Do you want to die?” he asked her “If so just stay there” he replied in a cool voice, even though he hid his mental strain. “If you don’t want to die and wish to finish what you started then come here and take my mane in your mouth again.” He told her walking back over to her, even though in the dense fog one would be able to see if close enough to an object. Velg’larn tossed his silver mane “I can still make it out of here,” the plum spider stallion told Storm. Velg’larn even though one wouldn’t notice in the thick fog seemed much sleeker than usual, his spider necklace was round now instead of a half and the feathers around his hooves seemed much larger. He himself hadn’t noticed. The silver spider web threads on his hide seemed ghostly in the fog.
