How about The Specials?

Yeah, I got a Bosstones CD also. It's great.

As for the Specials, I really like "Pressure Drop" and "A Message to You Rudy."

With Reel Big Fish, I like them because they're Ska-rock like LTJ, but they lean more towards ska, and it's the cool, fast kind.

Yeah, they really did used to be good.

Now, they've gone the way of any good punk band that wanted to be successful and not make good music, and they made a self-indulgent, "I Think the World Sucks because That Idea Sells", album, and it sucks really badly.

Seriously, if you want a great, great, incredibly fantastic LTJ album, check out either "Anthem", "Hello Rockview", or "Losing Streak."

All of those are really good albums.

Well, at first it started out as a Big-Band kind of set-up with Carribean flair, but it has kind of changed into a big-energy music genre where there are lots of horns and saxes and trombones. Modern ska is like Big-band and swing with attitude.

Yeah its basically Jamacian Blues. Like mento and calypso and blues all crammed together. Then it got americanized.

yea, sumthin like that. ska was actually created in Jamaica back in the '50s i think. ska = speed calypso, skanking started in the '60s or 70's when the 2nd wave came along. 1st wave stuff was all flow with the beat and the music.

(back to a previous comment) yea, third wave is good to skank to, but second wave is better when ur first startin off, its usually slower than third n if u cant get the alternating down on slow, good luck on fast. tomorrow im goin to see Against All Authority, Streetlight Manifesto, Less Than Jake, and Reel Big Fish, its gunna be sweet as hell!
