A rather small adult cat was laying on a soft, red satin pillow. In between her paws she seemed to be guarding a bone. It was colored like a small christmas tree, Diamond pawed at the red ribbon tied around her treasure.

Diamond jumped up as the bone started to crack. 'Is my weight crushing it?' she thought. A little halo popped out from one of the cracks, then slowly a puppy was in front of her.Diamond giggled, "Look at you!" she purred. The puppy couldn't see or hear yet though.. but maybe in a couple hours. Diamond couldn't wait to see whom the puppy would find first and claim it's 'Mama'.
The puppy just lay there though, his small, fragile, sausage-shaped body was moist. He let out a little cry and then fell asleep.

The hours went on, wearily Diamond sat beside the fragile Cato.
Cato was starting to move, his eyes would open soon. Minutes went by like seconds, and then he opened his little eyes to take a first look at this bright new world.
Diamond wondered what was going through Cato's mind and what he saw.
Cato slowly got his balance and trotted over to a little doll, which apparently had been his first sight.
