It's my first year on guard, and ever since band camp, I've been obsessed with weapons. :3 Flag is great, but I couldn't wait untill we started weapon training. In fact, i started learning rifle from a friend of mine. She was really strict with technique, so it was a long time before she taught me anything but spins. But yesterday I did my first really good quad. I'm happy. <3 So, what made you exited about weapon? First quad? Sabre stuff? (I did a triple on sabre yesterday, but it sucked. XD)

I don't really like my sabre (don't tell him!) but I love my rifle! He's my baby, and I don't let anybody spin him but me, my friend Lauren, and my instructor.
I don't remember my first quad, but I do remember my first 5 and 6 on rifle. Both happened my junior year in HS, during winterguard. That was my favorite season ever, for oh so many reasons, this being one of them <3
My sabre scares me and likes to hurt me. Anything up to quads is fine, but past that he's mean. Plus, sabre work involves more dance-y stuff, and I'm bad at dance. Thats why I love my rifle, because its all RAWR!

Whoa, it's been an eternity. I actually clicked on this topic thinking it was someone else~
Current tosses Rifle - 5. Sabre- 6 [Shh! I haven't told anyone yet, it's like my secret weapon for winterguard auditions, and If I reveal it to my sabre friend, she'll murder me for trying. ;D...] And a Blade Quad.

My high school only used flag... This is my first year doing rifle. I love it. I can get a triple solid now, so I'm working on my quad... I can do backhands like no body's business! I know a little a sabre... not much though... but me and my rifle are always together... outside the Baird. My profile <3's comments, you should go make it feel loved. No [lost] words. whisper [slowly]. to me. Still can't find what [keeps me here]. And all this [time] I've been so hollow. [inside]. I know your still [there]

We only have a rifle instructor when it suits her, so most of the stuff I know with it is self-taught.

This fall season was my first time on rifle. (we all had to do a rifle feature) We had to toss a quad and at Prelims and Semi-Finals at Grand Nats. I nailed them so hard! I was insanely ecstatic! You should have seen me after I caught that. I was really into the show then.
Now I’m taking privet lessons so I can be on the weapon line next year. Rifle was SO DARN FUN!

If you're really interested in sabre get a king. they are AMAZING rofl whee 3nodding cool .
But they cost 200 dollars, my guard just decided that we had to buy our own equipment because some stuff got stolen so I bought a king sabre.
