With a mourning angst against the stirring breath of liveliness, the raised hoof that held an undeniable intention of crossing into the unknown travels once again, very distinctly set itself back down to the foreign grasses. The heart of this creature strove to feed it's growing desires of once again leaving yet another place in it's wake. Sloping shoulders slowly heaved as the burden was once again placed on the blood bay jala, he knew he had over-stayed his self obliged welcome, and now his flighty soul suffocated him with this fact. But he wouldn't allow himself to leave just yet, for some unknown reason that defied the will of wind-soaked feathers and mane. And so Aitumn craned his neck to the side and turned in the other direction, sending his long black mane into a shrill flicker that caught whatever light was available at this time of day. He was about average size for a jala, and though his manner at this point in time was mellowed and distant, he still carried his head with a silent dignified pride. There was no need to hurry, and so as if to calm his restless spirit and perhaps 'manner' his will to leave at a moments notice, the stallion dipped his muzzle to the sweet grass below his hooves and pulled at it with expert lips; every once in awhile his ears pitching from side to side and a lengthy tail flickered against the slight breeze at his own discretion.

Curious green eyes watched every movement of the stallion as he moved, light colored ears perked forward, intrigued. He seemed at a moment of indecision, followed by grazing. Grazing always helped solve problems, she decided with a slight dip of her muzzle, especially if the grass tasted good. She snorted and pawed the ground a bit, tired of her short pause to watch the other, so she set off at a slow canter towards him. Company was always a good thing! "Hello there!" She greeted happily as she slowed to a trot, then a walk as she approached him. He hadn't been too far away, only about ten or twelve yards, but now he was within two or three, and she could see him better. He was very handsome, but that wasn't what intrigued her. Getting to know others was one of her favorite things to do, besides graze. Most of them were so nice, or so she assumed. "My name is Nizhoni, what's your name?"

Now the blood bay was in no way oblivious to his surroundings, and though he had sensed the other was near by smell alone, he had paid her no heed nor fear. It was true that Aitumn had very little to no contact with others most of the time, for his sense of undeniable wandering often times kept him from staying long enough to do so. Though, now that he had heard hoof beats coming towards him, the jala flicked an ear in the general direction to listen and partly lifted his muzzle from the grasses to watch her come forth. Or at least, he was pretty sure it was a female. He was unsure of exactly what she wanted or why she was even approaching him, so the jala raised his head to bring dark eyes to level with hers when she stopped close to him. True he knew of nequus that were quick to asume or weave some sort of attack, but by her words and her seemingly unfearful approach the stallion kept his calm and bobbed his head once in a greeting. After all his mother had taught him manners as a foal, so he might as well put them to use at least once in his life.

"Hello there Nizhoni. I'm Aitumn", he told her as he flared his nostrils slightly to take in the scent that filled the air around her. The jala stallion was usually quick to decide first impressions, and this one seemed to be on friendly ground, so he'd oblige it with the same level as he curved a smile to his lips. Turning to fully take in the mare he found her coat coloring to be quite interesting, and waited for some sort of response from her. He was never a conversation started.

Her tail flicked a bit and she shook out her short mane, gazing at the jala curiously. He seemed a bit indifferent, possibly, or maybe just tired. She ignored the thought, then bobbed her head, bright eyes focused on the stallion. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Aitumn." She smiled at him, ears still perked forward in curiousity. He seemed nice so far, and she assumed he was. Why wouldn't he be? She lowered her head carefully, burying her muzzle in the soft, rich grass, and nibbled at a patch of it. After a few moments of grazing, she lifted her head and eyed the stallion curiously.

"What are you doing all the way out here by yourself? You look like you were trying to decide on something and couldn't," she stated, quite interested in this stallion now. At first he did seem at a point of indecision, and she was curious as to why that was, so she thought she'd ask.

Watching her with dull dark eyes, the jala stallion restlessly shifted his feathered wings upon his back as if they had a mind of their own. Aitumn was never one to stay in a place for to long, nor did he like standing still for quite some time either. He was interested in seeing just why this mare wanted to speak with him, perhaps it was just a need for company? Whatever the reason, the stallion had no need to feel anger nor fear at her presence, so he regarded her with a dignified politeness. After all, that's all he knew how to do anyways, on occasions of meeting a friendly nequus. Though to answer her questions the blood bay pitched his ears forward to take in her demonor. "I never stay in one place for to long, it just never sits with me quite right", he said slowly and a bit cautioiusly at first, not really enjoying to speak to much about himself. Hence why he was always the listener in conversations. Dropping his muzzle to the ground once more he nosed at a few sprouts of grass that were just starting to poke out of the earth, and snatched them up with quiet lips.

When the stallion raised his head once again he walked closer to Nizhoni, flicking his long tail every once in awhile so it caught the light and shone light against the thin, dark strands. When he was closer he bent his neck to nose at her curiously, his long mane flowing with the movement, before withdrawing his head and resetting it to look her in the eye once again. "I was trying to decide whether or not I needed to leave just yet", he told her, his voice deep and low with a certain calmness he had. But he decided that was enough talk about him, and turned the tables so he could be the listener now. "What about you? You're alone too, you know", he commented, again shifting his feathered wings and twitching a blood bay hide.

Her head tilted slightly in curiousity, ears still perked forward. He seemed to be very friendly, which she had expected him to be. "Why don't you like to stay in one place too long? This place is very nice, I think." Yes, why didn't he? Exploring on occasion was reasonable, but not to have a permanent home and want to keep it that way? She couldn't quite grasp the concept. She was restless as well, but not in the same way as this Jala, always needing a change of scenery. She lowered her head as he did, plucking some choice blades of grass from the plentiful supply, then raised her head and gazed at him. He was walking towards her, but why? Curious, she kept her ears pitched forward and her emerald eyes on him.

Surprised at being nosed at, she drew her head back slightly, but only for a moment. Her nostrils flared a bit, taking in his scent, and her left ear twitched a bit. She flicked her tail a bit, listening to what he had to say intently. "Oh, okay. And you decided to stay a while longer, I suppose?" She asked, figuring that must've been the case, otherwise he would've taken off instead of turning to graze.

"Me?" Her wings twitched and she stretched them out a little, then folded them carefully back to her sides. She shook out her mane again, thinking about his question and comment, then turned her attention back to him. "Yes, I know I'm alone. I decided to come exploring a little bit, I usually stay with my friend Nyx. She let me live with her and her herd," she told him, confirming it with a nod of her slender head.

The wind shifted slightly so it was now at the stallion's back, and his long mane flickered in the waning light. He didn't particularly like being out late at night, but the jala had been known to do just that on several occasions. But he noticed her reaction to him nosing her, and flicked his ears from side to side as if pondering. Now the whole point in him doing this was quite simply put as, wanting to test the waters and see if she was indeed the friendly type or just playing some sort of game. He had seen it done several times, and so he had taken to this little test of calmliness; for he figured a mean beast would have lashed out. Those dark eyes of Aitumn's were lost for a little bit as he thought of several different situations that could have occured. He figured that a shy nequus would have backed away or had some other frightful reaction, a mean or tempered one would have instantly taken to defeanse or offense, and a calm or friendly one would have little to no reaction at all. No, it wasn't that Aitumn was highly intellegent and thought of this little trick, but rather it was simple logic that he liked to apply to such situations.

Coming out of this thoughtst the jala stallion perked his ears at questions and comments, and shifted his feathered wings once again. This was certainly turning out to be an interesting visit with a stranger. "Dunno, I just have an urge to move around all the time, and seeing new terrain is always wonderous", he told her, and gave a bob of his head. "Yup, I wanted to stay here a bit longer, it's always pesky to move on a whim when there's unfinished business..." he stopped himself from continuing on with this little rant and quickly turned his attention to what she said about herself.

Watching carefully as her wings twitched, he followed their odd curves, nothing like his own feathered wings. "A herd?" he asked, almost surprised. He hadn't really heard of any, nor seen any, during his travels, so it was quite interesting to think about. "What kind of herd would this be?" He wanted to ask more, but all in due time. Aitumn didn't like talking to much at once.

Her muzzle tilted up so she could gaze up at the darkening sky; she wasn't normally out at night much, herself. She had, however, always loved to look at the stars from under her tree. She'd heard of other nequus talking about con-stuh-lay-shuns before, pointing them out with their muzzles to others, but she had no idea what they could be, besides star-related.

Niz didn't apply the same logic or little tricks and such as he did when meeting new nequus; she simply assumed they were friendly and went right ahead to talk to them. Returning her gaze to the stallion, her ears perked forward, she listened to what he had to say with curiousity. "I bet that is wonderous, but don't you ever want to just stay in one place for a while, to take a rest?" Her tail flicked a bit, and one of her ears twitched. "What unfinished business do you have here?"

"Yes, a herd. I don't know quite what kind it is, as I haven't been here that long, but yes. I don't know how many others are in it besides myself and Nyx, because again, I haven't been here too long yet," she told him, watching his interested expression. He seemed like a very nice, polite stallion so far, she decided.

Noticing her gaze upwards, the blood bay jala slightly adjusted his own in order to take a glance towards the sky, wondering if she had seen something or what not. When his hallowed eyes saw nothing the stallion again returned his vision back to the Ichsa mare in front of him and perked his ears as she began to speak and ask questions about him. Aitumn didn't really have many answers to offer, and his sloping shoulders rolled back slightly as he once again adjusted the feathered wings upon his sides. "Sometimes, I guess. But I feel as if I need to be constantly in motion, to keep up with the imagination and desire my being thirsts for", he spoke quietly and with an undertone of caution. Like before, the blood bay didn't really like talking about himself, and found that when he did it always led to more questions and conversations he didn't like to get into. Though when his attention turned to the other part of what she said, he side stepped slightly to give a view of the darkening horizon and the seemingly untouched plains before him. "My business is that of a dreamer I guess. With every place I visit I like to come up with stories and legends", he told her, not really paying attention to who he was talking to now, and shrugged his sloping shoulders a bit. "I can't help it."

Though instantly he snapped back to attention with the mention of the herd, his ears perking again as his dark eyes held his interest in this so called 'herd'. "Sounds nice, I'm guessing they don't move around much though, huh?" he took a stab in the dark at the idea. He hadn't really met up with many nequus at a single time, never more then two, so the thought of an actual herd intrigued him beyond words. He knew though, that for wanderer like him, that kind of life was nothing but a distant tale of fantasy created within the confines of one's mind.

She pawed at the ground a couple of times, tail flicking. "But why do you need to constantly go to different places? There are places here, I think, that you could stay in and simply explore, and find many things to satisfy your restlessness," she nodded. Why would he want to move around so much? "Oh, stories? I like stories! Do you have any you could tell me right now, or no?" She asked, instantly intrigued.

"I don't think this one moves around much, no. But, I think there might be a herd or two that do move around like you do. I don't know which it is or where, though, but I'm sure there is one." She nodded; there must be one somewhere. If there wasn't, she assumed someone would start one eventually.

Tossing his head once or twice as the questions continued, Aitumn attempted to remove a few strands of stray mane that had apparently taken a liking to blocking his vision. Well, the jala stallion didn't honestly like talking about himself at all, but he couldn't quite leave the question open without sounding rude either. "It's just all I've known for most of my life, I don't understand why other nequus can stay in one place. Don't they want to see as much as they can in this land?" he was begining to ask questions himself, and let his mind wander to something else she had said, and cocked an ear to the side, interested. "Places to explore here? Hmm, that does sound tempting", he had to admit before allowing a small smile to curl at the tips of his lips. "Aye I have some stories I could tell", he told her, snaking his head away in a bit of a playful tease. He was like that sometimes when he opened up a bit to others, but returned to his calm once again. "I will, but first I want to go exploring", he told her with a bob of his head, leaving the invatation open incase she wanted to go as well.

As for the herd idea though he pricked his ears and thought. It might be interesting if he ever settled down to one place if he had a herd to go back to, something to protect and live for. But not now, he knew, for there was still alot of things he wanted to see. "Cool, I'll have to look around for these so called herds. It's interesting to think of how many nequus must be in the same place", he told her. Glancing over his shoulder once at the horizon, he tried to come up with a story he could tell Nizhoni, but knew that they usually just came to him, and that thinking about it would leave him with an empty plot and badly designed characters.

"I like to live in one place, but just because I live in one place doesn't mean I don't go exploring. I like to have a place to come back to." She shook out her mane, displacing a few locks of her bright mane, and snorted. Thinking about all this for a few moments, she finally came up with an answer. "Exploring sounds like a lot of fun, but I explored a lot already today, and it's time for me to get back to my tree. Otherwise, I'd love to join you, if you wouldn't mind. Maybe next time..?" She questioned, her right ear twitching a bit.

She nodded, ears perked forward with her bright emerald eyes on him. "I like being in a herd, it makes me feel a little less lonely. The herd I'm in lives in one place, but I'm sure there are herds that move around. Whichever suits you best, I hope you find it," she nodded as her lips curled into a smile. "Maybe you'll have a few more stories to tell when you return from your exploring?"

Keeping hallowed eyes on her as she spoke the stallion bobbed his head when she said she had to get back. "That's fine, till next time then. As for me, I'll take a better look around before I leave for some place else", he told her, shifting feathered wings restlessly. He thought on the herd idea more, but at this point in time it just didn't sit with him very well at all. "Eventually I'm sure I will." Flicking a lengthy tail he glanced around a bit, pondering which way to go next. "When I see you next, I'll have a story for you. But for now, cya around", the blood bay spoke, glancing at her once again before begining to turn away. He too had to be on his way, and he didn't want to over-stay his welcome, after all she had said she needed to return to her tree, and he didn't want to keep her.

With a nod of her head, she half-turned as he spoke. "Okay. Until next time, then," she agreed, the smile still playing upon her lips. She again watched as he was stuck with a slight case of indecision, then listened to his next comment. "I can hardly wait to hear it. See you later, Aitumn!" She said, tail flicking as she turned and started off at a canter towards her tree. He really was a nice stallion, and she hoped she'd see him again soon.

((^^ I think we're finished.))

Arching his neck Aitumn was about to take off at a lope, eager to see what would pop out at him during this winter season. Though cocked an ear back to listen to Nizhoni. With a final snort of good-bye the blood bay Jala stallion finally allowed his hooves the restlessness they needed, and took off with a ground-eating canter towards the unknown. He'd definatly see Nizhoni again, but first he needed to come up with the perfect story for her.
