Hokay, I was bored, so I played Sword of Mana and Legend of Mana for the thousandth time. Literaly... While playing, I remembered that Sword of Mana had a terrible ending! (Hero and Heroine finally say they love each other, then Heroine turns into a friggen tree! And the world still isn't completely saved! Gahh! I don't mind when they kill a character off, but when they turn one into a plant and kill another, kinda pisses me off. Poor Hero.)

So, I decided to make a semi happy ending after the orginal. This story will be a fan fiction sequal to Sword of Mana.

Now, I'm also going to do alot with Legend of Mana. Sence LOS was a side story of the Mana series, I decided to add it. One, I love the Jumis, two I love the fairies, three, SOM world isn't the same as SOL. Different world name, different places, different people!

SO yeah. I'll post the characters. (Should be around sevenish)

AND, for yaoi fans there may be a boyxboy pairing. But knowing me, I might kill one of them off.... Hee. I'll try not too.

Six years after Riska became the Mana Tree

Zane walked calmly through the Mana Santuary, the a bundle of flowers resting lightly in his left hand, while his right held tightly onto another hand, that of a six year old girl. Her brown, wavy hair hung loosly from a pink pony tie, and purple eyes shown from under messy bangs. The two walked confendently, fearing none of the monsters that walked across there path. The monster's wouldn't hurt them, they were under Mana's control.
"Papa, where are we going?" The girl asked as she looked around. Plants moved out of their way to form easier entrences into the depth of the Mana Santuary.
Zane smiled sadly. "We're going to the same place we go every year, to see the Mana Tree. Though, you probably don't remember last time do you Esther?"
"Hmmm...." Esther put a finger to her mouth then grinned. "I remember feeling like someone was hugging me when I went there. Kinda like when Isabella hugs me... but with more love. Kinda like your hugs in a girl form." The girl explained, tapping her chin a bit. Zane just smiled.
They walked for a bit more until a large tree loomed before them. Esther pulled her hand away from her father's and ran to the Mana Tree. She threw her small arms around it, giving the tree a hug.
"Hello Mana Tree!" She said before running back to her father. She took his hand and pulled him near the tree. When they were near it, Zane put the flowers in Esther's hand.
"Your turn to give them to her." The girl nodded before running over and placing the flowers at the foot of the Sword of Mana and the Mana Tree. She placed her hands together and bowed. Zane bowed low also, before taking the girls hand and walking away from the tree.
Esther... My daughter....
Esther turned her head as the voice sounded out. Her father didn't seem to notice, but she did. Closing her eyes, she thought,
See you soon Mommy....

Eleven years later

The gates to the Mana Santuary only stayed open for two years after that, and they could be opened anymore. Zane tried every year, but something felt wrong every time he went. He could tell Esther was slowly forgetting about the Mana Tree, and that scared him. The story of Mana was being lost again, and there was nothing he could do but to let it go.
Maybe it's for the best Esther forgets... He thought sadly as he heard footsteps coming down the stairs of there Wendal Home.
Esther rushed down, nearly tripping over the bottom step, to grab a peachpuppy from the table. They didn't live in the Hot House, but they visited there on a normal bases to get fruits, fix weapons and armor, and tlak to little cactus. He had givin Zane his journal after it was filled, and right now, it rested in a locked chest. He was sure Riska would have scolded him for hiding all the things from his daughter, but it was all he could do.
"Papa, I'm going into town to get some more supplies. The dudbears also want me to pick up something for them. And Lil' Cactus needs a new pot." Esther said while tying her sandles up and grabbing her bow and arrows. The peachpuppy had already been eaten. He sighed at how fast she could eat.
"Make sure to get the right one this time. There's Lucre in the brown pouch hanging on the chair." Esther got up, and put the pouch in her pocket, before hugging her father and running out of the house. Zane didn't have to worry about monster's in the Mushroom Forest attacking her. Esther could handle herself, and she had all the spirits to help her.

"I hate mushrooms!" exclaimed Esther as she jumped over the low fence that separted the forest from the town. The mushrooms were one of the worst monsters. Sure, she could handle them, when her spirits decided to actually help. Salamander had decided to sleep, so he wouldn't help her.
"Hey! Esther!" someone called. Esther looked up to see a girl in a large purplish dress with a head shawl run over to her. She carried a basket with a piece of cloth covering it. "Here's what the Dudbears ordered, thought I'd pick it up and give it to you sence I was working. The store's closed. Watts is off again. Probably at another armory." The girl pulled the cloth back and handed Esther a package. It was heavy, and rather lumpy. At a guess, the girl thought it was probably raw weapon material, maybe Granz Steel.
The town of Wendal was a busy place, both at day and night. People walked back and forth shopping, children chased each other while their grandparents scolded them, and store owner handed out leaflets and fliers for stores. Wendal at four or five different stores, then out side shopping areas, one inn, one armory, and a beautiful chruch to the north. There was a staute of the Mana Goddess when a person first enters a town, and a fourtain north of there.
El was smiling. "Wow are the dudbears doing?"
"They're fine. Still greedy little things though." Esther laughed and walked with El, being guided to a stand with pots on it. There was also a few seeds, but Esther had picked up some on the way there.
"Hey, El? Would Lil' Cactus like this one?" Esther asked, picking up a large yellowish pot with little stars on it.
"Nah, he'd probably like orange." The girl said picking up an orange one. Esther payed for it, before wrapping it up in another cloth and holding it under the other arm. She was slightly glad that El hadn't rubbed it in her face about not bringing anything to carrying the items in.
The peace of the city was broken by an ear piercing scream. Taking Esther's full hands, El started to run towards the sound of the scream. In the front of town, just in the little wooden area before Wendal's gates, a group of town's people had flocked in the entrance. If they wanted to see anything, the girl's would have to go over. Frotunaly, both girl's new of a way over, and used the brach hanging over the wall to get to the other side and look on from the trees.
In the wooded area, a group of Granz Soilders were attacking four people. A Topple Grandfather, a Topple Maiden, a Wendal Gentalman and a cloaked traviler. Each of which were unarmed. Well, the travler wouldn't have been, but his sword lay in ruins a ways off.
"They just suddenly attacked when the traviler's said they didn't know where Zane lived after the guards asked. And they wont believe us that they really don't know." Esther looked down to see a Wendal Gentalman, Ram, El's brother, talking to them.
"And due to their reaction, the whole city is also saying they don't know where Zane lives. Zane's helped us alot, so if we told them, and something bad happened, we'd feel bad. But, the soilders said that they would kill these four if they don't tell them. We're walking on edge. Good thing you came." Ram leaned against the wall. The man was always great for knowlade on everything. He could hear something once, and remember it with every detail. He continued. "The traviler with them was fighting, but one of the soilder's broke his sword and threw something at him. He's not doing so hot, so it might have been poisened."
"The soilders don't use poisen..." El muttered while reaching in her basket to grab a frying pan. "Wanna help?" She asked Esther.
"Need to ask? If my families the one that they die for, I'll feel guilty." One hand slipped her bow from around her shoulder's off, while the other hand pulled out an arrow. She nocked it, took aim, and fired at one of the guards.
The arrow missed, but got the guards attention.
"Who's there?!" One called.
"No one?" El stated forming a mock question. Esther jumped out and landed infront of the group.
"What in the Mana Goddess's name is going on?" Esther asked as she nocked another arrow. Her voice held authroity, but it was fake. However, the guards didn't seem to notice that she was lying. ((stupid guards Muhahaha!))
One guard gripped his sword and walked forwards. "We are here to arrest the fighter Zane, and his daughter Esther under the ruler of Granz Relm."
Lord Granz would never arrest us... oh I forgot.... he died a year ago.... another person is in rule.
"On what charges?" The guards faultered, seemily either not knowing the charges, or simply lying that they had to arrest her father and her self. Before a guard or Esther could speak, one of the other guards grabbed the Topple Maiden's arm and dragged her over with his sword on her throat. The traviler and Wendal Gentalman tried to get to her, but they both seemed wounded and lacking any power.
"How about this, you give us Zane and Esther, and we'll spare this girl's life." The offending guard pressed the sword to the women throat a bit, making her wimper a bit. Esther's hand on the bow tightend.
An older, rather senile Wendal Grandfather yelled, "Esther! Don't tell him your Zane's daughter!" There was utter and complete silence before Esther turned her head to the man.
I don't need to...
"Arrest her!" The lead guard yelled. El sprung from the tree and smashed her frying pan into the back of the head of the man with the maiden. Stars shown in his eyes before he fell to the ground. Esther took hold of the distraction and held her bow an arrow up, aiming at the lead man. He glared at her, then let out a whistle. There was a yelp as two guards grabbed El, and more walked out of the trees, blocking the people.
"Give in, or I kill all the towns people." She cursed in her head, and slowly let her bow arm drop.
