Do you think Sarabi, as simba's mother should have had more of a role in the movie?

I think so. 3nodding I also think Sarafina should have, too. I mean, they ARE the ones who had Simba and Nala. x3 Mufasa and, uh, unknown lion weren't pregnant! whee

Heh, I think the same thing too. Elsewhere in the forums, I already made the topic known, and how I think about it. below is a cut and paste from what I wrote. I hope you like it, and not think it's too long! ^_^'

Sisa: (See-Say or See-Sah) As I mentioned before, I don't really think there is much of a bond between Simba and his mom, Sarabi. Which is interesting to me, come to think of it. As a child, I never had much of a relationship with my mother. In fact, we were quite opposite pairs. I never got much love from my mom. Mostly from my dad. That's why I love father-son relationships to much. My parents are divorced, and I live with my dad. And sue to other “better left unsaid” things, my relationship with my mom no longer exists. It's not like I don't like mother-son connections. In fact, I long for one deeply. I want a mother to love me, and show kindness. But It's something I had to live without. Now I'm not saying that's the case with Simba and Sarabi at all. It's just, for some reason, they didn't wan to establish a connection with them. I can kind of think why though. When Simba's father dies, a massive blow is struck though the audience, because of the obvious connection they had. But what if the story had added a connection with Sarabi. For Simba to leave her mother, thinking that he is dead, and never seen again is another hard blow that I don't think the director wanted to throw out. This movie tugs hard on my heart strings every time I see it. To add to the pain of a dead father, to have a grief stricken mother and wife is probably too much to bear. Hmm. I now understand why they left it at that. This movie, if you look at it, is a little more darker than most other Disney. Think about it. How many movies has a villain KILL a young boy's father in cold blood, and blames him for it. On top of that, exiles him from his only home, with the only though in his mind being that he himself killed his dad. His pal. Probably his life. I see no darker villain in Disney history. Come to think of it, I'm kind of glad they didn't add to that part. It would have made things too dark and sad for it's own good. It would have changed the movie into a dark side that would have been hard hole to get out of.

While surfing lionking.org (which I really suggest you do!), I came across a picture that almost makes me cry every time I see it. I'd like to share it with you. The story to this picture is as follows: This is a “what if” picture. I love these kinds. It really makes you think. It makes you plan out what the story could have been like “if” something had happened. For this one, what would happen if Simba didn't listen to Scar. What if he loved his mother too much too run away, to leaver her alone? What if he came back, and told her what had happened. Tears would flow out of his eyes as he wold try to explain what had happened. A thousand apologies would tumble though the tears and sobs. All the while, Sarabi, stricken with the horrible loss of her husband, still tries to comfort him. Through tear-stained eyes, they embrace, trying to comfort one another. *Sniff* Just telling you about it hurts me. I really know why they didn't add anymore to this story. Here is the picture.

Hmm. This really gets to me. It has such emotion and depth to it. This really shows the relationship Simba and Sarabi would have. Does this picture touch you? Any comments? Say them loud and proud!

Well, this one was a little depressing sweatdrop . I hope you all are liking these. I know I am. It's fun to share my views on the movie I love so much. I never get to do this. I also hope someone will come up and star t talking. I'd love to discus the movie with anyone who'd like to! Onto the next one! ^_^
