Background: Kai has a mysterious background, even the master doesn't know much about it. For all anyone knows, he just appeared one day. In reality, his mother was a fire demon and his father was a shadow demon. Growing up, he had very few friends and lost his family to a couple humans who were assisted by a warrior and their dragon. This loss caused him great pain and fueled his rage. An mysterious acquaintance, Orin, has agreed to assist him in hunting down the people who caused his pain as long as he idoes as he's told and retrieves the souls of the dead no matter what method is used. Agreeing to this pact, Kai was given great power and the scythe that he carries with him at all times. He has been working with Orin for over 25 years and has failed only once in collecting a soul.
Other: He is also a shadow demon. He is still unaware of his true power and what he is capable of. His scythe has a mind of it's own and has a tendency to whistle when it's been swung. His nickname "Grin" ws given to him after one of his victims managed to escape.
