Does anyone have any recipes for some good German food? I was thinking of maybe bringing a dish of German food to Christmas Eve/Day this year, since I looove most German food, but I can never find the recipes! There are German recipe books in the library but I haven't gotten a chance to pick up any books there lately.

So, recipes?

I have made some German recipes before for my class...we get extra credit (and food!!!!) for it. Unforunately, I can't remember how the recipes went!!! But I bet you can find some through Google... ninja

Here's one I've used before: http://www.germany.info/relaunch/culture/life/recipe_archive.html#entrees

I've never tried making any of these dishes because quite frankly I can't cook that well and don't have the time. If you're looking for a simple recipee that's not really the best website.

Have you tried googling it?

If you have the equiptment for it, you could make Spaghetti Eis.

I can cook. As long as it involves ONLY placing it in a microwave and pushing cook.

Yeah that's practically the same with me, except even then... times and stuff confuse me.

What kind of dishes are in the book?

Offhand when people think of German food the usual things arise, strudel, bratwurst, saerkraut etc...

I'm interested to see what other things there are.
