I feel like I'm reaching into the obscure here, but has anyone read The Dark Tower series by Stephen King? Normally, I'm not fond of King's works, but this series made me a little more open minded. It's really excellent. I love the blend of various genres. Sure, the story's had some boring parts that I had to make myself read through, but it was made up for with the plethora of parts that kept me on the edge of my seat. So far I've bought and finished the first two books, and I can't wait to read the third.

I've reada coupke of his books. They were too creepy and disturbing for my tastes. King is one really twisted sick guy.
